Hi there!

Recently i installed linux mint on my laptop and installed doom eternal from steam. When i launch it it shows that it is running for 30 seconds and then without any errors it crashes

System Info:
OS: Linux Mint 21.2
Linux Kernel: 5.15.0-82-generic
Processor: 11th Gen Intel© Core™ i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHz × 4
Memory: 12GB
Graphics Card(Integrated): Intel Iris XE

Steam info:
Game args: PROTON_NO_ESYNC=1 %command% +in_terminal 1 +com_skipIntroVideo 1 +com_skipKeyPressOnLoadScreens 1 +com_skipSignInManager 1
Proton Version: GE-Proton8-14
No steam overlay enabled

I reinstalled the game because it was crashing a lot before and i thought it was corruption of game files, but no it is something else. It was running fine on windows. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Short of patching the driver to add the missing extensions, probably not.

Can use OpenGL on Intel GPUs just fine

Doom Eternal is Vulkan-only
