To generate logs put
PROTON_LOG=1 %command% in the steam games launch options.
Find the log proton generated at your home directory and post it in full here
experimental and 8.0 both didn't work, i'm using native
but same thing with flatpak
wait a min
i can't find the logs
Have you tried a native game? Are your graphics drivers installed? Nvidia or AMD? Xorg or Wayland?
Sorry for the flurry of questions, just trying to get an idea on what your situation is.
The logs should be located in your home directory, they're not exactly noticable to spot, should be a log file with the game ID in the name. What game did you try?
i tried half life
yes the drivers are installed
The game ID for half life is 70
So it should be steam-70.log replace 70 with the gameID if you try another game
Buddy, it took me like 10 mins to find one of those bloody things when I first used it
You are totally fine lol
oh ok lol
Is this game installed on an NTFS or either a ext4/btrfs drive?
NTFS
thats a log for other game:
