#installed on wii u, cant launch

The official RetroArch builds (including the ones from the homebrew app store) won't run in Aroma. You have to install the Tiramisu environment and run RetroArch from the homebrew launcher.
A guide to hacking the Nintendo Wii U.
Alternatively you could use an unofficial build that works on Aroma: https://gbatemp.net/threads/retroarch-wiiu-wip.447670/ (check the latest comments in that thread)
thanks, i had no clue that it wouldn't work. but now i cant get any of the cores to download, can i get any help with that too?
whenever i start any download for a core, it seems to work, but trying to load any core just restarts the app, i may be doing something wrong because i am new to modding consoles in general
you say "now", but I don't know which alternate path you've taken
sorry, i used the version for aroma, should have said that my bad
The Aroma version comes with the cores bundled in. You should NOT be downloading cores from within RetroArch because that will replace them with the Tiramisu versions, which won't work on Aroma
attempting to launch any of the cores, even ones not downloaded by me, which i guess i shouldnt do anymore, didn't work
Are you familiar with RetroArch on other platforms? Just loading a core won't do anything, you have to "Load Content" and pick your rom file (or put them in a playlist)
That's what I've been doing, I am new to using retro arch, but I looked up a few guides as to how to use it and it didn't work
