Some countries need time before being able to join a battle, if you go historical is normal that the game makes you play historically similar as much as possible.

Spain has very bad content, no flavour at all for Franco, Democratic or Communist Spain

The content for CNT is fun but poorly executed, the Carlists are given buffs and said "go kill the world", without an end game objective

The only decent one is Phallanxist, while challenging it gives you something to try to do

Spain lacks completely the idea of building yourself a narrative in game
