Iirc you rush nkvd focus then early war Finland. You time Finland capping during the Finland peace deal event because you can take it after Finland caps to get Karelia from the Karelia puppet, 75pp, and -20 paranoia. When Finland caps you take all land except Karelia, Sapmi, and 5 provinces with zero industry which would leave you with 100 factories to get 2nd 5yp asap. For the rest 5 provinces give one to Tuva so they start industry focus ASAP which allows you to reconquer them later, 2 provinces for a Finland puppet to get Finnish goods, and then leave 2 for the original Finland so when Finnish goods run out you can puppet Finland again to get Finnish goods twice. With this by Sep 1936 you can finish second 5yp with 4 yrs of Finnish goods and a fasttrack Tuva annexation

if you're stalin and you puppet a communist finland, it will give you a finnish goods buff for 2 years which gives -10% consumer goods factor and reduced supply consumption. Thing is it only checks if the puppet is finland and if you have the buff when you begin the war, so you can just puppet a d01 finland and then when the buff runs out you puppet finland again to get the buff twice

also i forgot by attacking finland you generate enough tension to get war economy once the war is over

2 types of factories

Civillian factories -> The more you have, the faster you can build stuff on your territory, and the more resources you can import, whenever you import a resource you trade 1 of your civilian factories to get 8 of said resource

Military factories -> making guns and military stuff ofc

Dockyards-> military factories but for ships

Infrastructure, your own land has resources in certain provinces, the better infrastructure in a province, the more resources it generates, the faster you can build in it and sometimes it adds more building slots

actual fighting, just pull up a combat guide for beginners

when you are going to start learning the combat i suggest playing with italy for the first few months, you start at a war with ethiopia, the focus trees essentially shape your ideology, your industry and your military
