it is damn near impossible as the allies for instance, to lend lease the USSR if you want to try and say, use your industrial power as the US in a more indirect way to fight the Axis(kinda like... you know, irl)

like yeah you can lend lease the convoys to them but uh...

the amount of equipment per convoy is so asinine that impossible to get enough for both you and the ussr without sacrificing on general ship output and also military output(cus you need more dockyards to build convoys)

Very disapointng air designer (promised to allow for non meta and out-of-the box designs but doesn't because if you do you get blasted off + biggest noobtrap of the game because of default or "historical" designs that suck)
Mediocre italy tree honestly I much prefered the ones done in some mods like operation overhaul back in 2019. It is bloated with useless buffs and half baked ahist paths
Swiss tree is fine even though kinda wacky
Ethiopia is boring after you push out italy, no matter the path
Aussa is niche but clearly a meme focus tree by its lenght

On the other hand, all 3 of AAT mechanics you use basically all playthroughs.
Special forces doctrines are a must if you don't want air or tanks, and it makes them actually useful and unique
MIOs bring a lack of balance, which is honestly the only reprimand I can make on that DLC, but it adds quite a lot of stuff and flavor
Market is useful in quite a lot of scenarios and easy to use
Focuses for denmark, finland and sweden are very good and actually fun to play. Nothing too wacky or convoluted. Norway is fine even though it's not the best (civgreed gaming) and iceland is a very good meme tree. Straightforward and still gives you stuff to do

And, one of the must, while BBA was meant to change significantly how to play the game (the air designer was supposed to unlock stuff based on what paradox said), AAT didn't promise any of it
AAT came out with few bugs, localization errors and didn't completely break the AI like BBA did

the issue with tank designer is the lack of balance through doctrines (recently, with the new doctrines that basically only buff variants), lack of variety in late game light and medium armaments and the ridiculous stat buffs TDs and SPGs get through regular arty techs
