Green line is of the easiest hold, just a few tiles away from border. 26 tiles total, it has only 6 plain tiles and 2 heat spots that AI loves to attack endlessly (so you can concentrate there). Rest of the terrain is forests (good defense and reduced enemy air action) and marshes (extremely good defense)
Blue line is the most condensed with 24 to 26 tiles depending on the way you hold the
vynnistia supply hub in the south, it has good terrain, is almost exclusively on core territory (atk and dfs buffs, only exception being the baltics), between 8 and 9 plain tiles
Red line is the classic dniepr line which has a whopping 33 tiles to defend, including 20 plain tiles, making it way less defendable

All the yellow lines are extensions of the lines you can use which are viable but not required
All in all, the Dniper basically has no advantages whatsoever and require you to give up loads of land for no reason only to get behind a singular river. It has precarious supply (kiev and dnipro being two key elements of which the loss will throw your armies in full retreat), no particular heat spots except Kiev, meaing the AI will be way more imprevisible and you'll need to spread out more, and you're all fighting on plains, meaning no defense buff for you or atk debuff for enemy and no enemy air support reduction (which is a non-argument if you build air though)
