I mean, it's probably a function of what order you invade in. Probably worth it for Turkey (the last one on the focus tree), probably not so much for Yugoslavia (the easiest one to annex if you split it with Hungary).

You can invite either Hungary or Italy to split Yugoslavia. The guide I read suggested holding off on annexing Hungary until Yugoslavia was gone, splitting Yugoslavia with Hungary, then taking the focus to invade Hungary. You get the entirety of Yugoslavia out of the bargain instead of splitting it.
