in truth, and in my humble opinion, the Soviets would've never surrendered even if Leningrad, Stalingrad, and Moscow fell within the first year because the Great Patriotic War for the Soviets was an existential crisis and they were not about to doom their family and friends to the Nazi death camps

it would've devolved into the Sino-Japanese campaign, except turbo-charged by 1000 considering how massive the area is and just how high the resistance was bc as it turns out, people don't like being murdered
