It's just that whilst the Crisis-Socialist path does get rid of the King, the Vandervelde Minority path gives you some pretty good buffs such as a +10% Research Speed, +10% Political Power Gain, +10% War Support, +20% Military Factory constructon speed as well as a bunch of claims in Africa.
Do you think this outweighs the debuffs you get from not getting rid of the King?

Make the templates with the naval designer (you need naval xp for this, which you can get by appointing a naval advisor in your political tab as well as conducting naval excersises).
The naval designer can be accessed in the ship section of the production tab.
Then, after you've designed a ship template, you can, assuming you have dockyards available, begin constructing the ship you designed.
You can access the production tab by pressing the Y key on your keyboard if you're unsure where it is.

youll lose because it utilizes all game mechanics, the western allies suck and throw the game and youll be doing too many things at once using seemingly overwhelming stats and either have a very poor eco leaving you to die to the allies (or open frontlines etc etc) or you will likely lose to the ussr
germany is a lot to manage/be knowledgeable about if you wanna play well
it doesnt really incentivice looking at why youre losing either
such as logistics, production, in-battle stats
