something like this for your tanks, try to keep the reliability at 80% or higher, keep the speed at 8km/h if you can

the howitzer that you get from artillery research is generally the best, it slaughters infantry

use the 3 man turret always

HMG turrets are generally a pretty good way to boost soft attack, 4 soft attack for only 1.5 ish ic is a good trade

best radia you can get

and wet ammunition storage for 15% extra reliability, swap out for easy maintenance that you get from the second maintenance company research

if you need more reliability to get it above 80% either sacrifice armor (AI builds garbage tanks so dont worry about it) or swap the engine for a diesel and sacrifice speed

as for how many tanks you put into a division compared to motorized you want around 30-40 organization so that your tanks can fight for longer than 2 seconds

it fits into how I use tank divisions, that is 4-6 divisions of really good tanks that I use to punch holes in the enemies lines and form encirclements and use motorized to fill the gaps, so the tanks being expensive doesnt really matter

I even experimented with heavy tanks but they dont get a good soft attack gun until late game so mediums are just a better option

im also thinking of making even better mediums by just not using armor and making a really good heavy TD with a ton of armor to compensate
