The first is investigation, unless you want to play with no industry advancements and WW1 guns it is very recommendable. The second and third one is civilian and military industry (use it). Dockyards are for navy, if you are new just do subs. The fifth I can't remember. The sixth is the focus tree (do it). Seventh days you can deploy more units, the eight is for unassigned divisions, 9th for decisions (can be used) tenth means you need more resources for your factories
