Hi there! I have had many problems with Hearts of Iron 4, and almost all of my friends have the same problem. The Playlist button wont show up, and neither do the mods. I have to re-install the game for it to work, and then the mods just keep downloading forever, and when i open the launcher for a second time, it all goes back to no playlist button and no mods. Sorry if this was long, but i do not have the slightest of idea on what to say to make it shorter.

@ancient orbit What you have to do is go to the local files of HOI4, find a thing called "launcher-installer-windows" in the files, double click, install, and if it doesn't work, go there again, double click it again, but this time remove instead of install. and then after that, install again, and boom. it should work, but it may not work, and if not, then idk.

Have you checked the steam downloads to see if the mod had time to install? or maybe if that doesnt work try subscribing and unsubcribing, or maybe just delete the mod in the hoi4 documents folder. If not you might need to reinstall your game

to the people who get errors when launching game/launcher here is the guide that will fix it. you got 2 options how to fix it. 1. deinstall and reinstall launcher. 2. go to hearts of iron files and click hoi4 so it will bypass launcher. if u need help dm me

Hello, i have issue with my game and graphic card.
After a while i play the game it stops working and then my computer shuts down ( windows 10 and it says " Your computer ran into a problem and needs to restart " ). After restart my computer doesn't recognize my graphic card and it sees like it doesn't pluged in + my drivers deletes.

It's not just a game, that's not normal behaviour. There's a chance it'll get worse and will start affecting other games.

You say your graphics driver is updated, but did you clean install it or just updated over the older one?

How long did it take for the company to return your computer?

Btw, neither The Forest nor EU IV are demanding games. They're both old. You should try out newer games like Horizon Zero Dawn to actually put your GPU under load.

1 .Go to the windows home screen ( press the windows button next to the Lcrtl button)
2. Go on the search bar and type add. You will then see a program called add and something else I can't remember but you'll know what I mean when you see it
3. Open the program look for paradox v2 launcher and click uninstall. When you do that the computer will have not reolection of the launcher.
4. Go to steam, then press play on hoi4 and you'll have to reinstall the launcher and this should fix the Java error.

I have actually had similar errors that when i launched the game, it failed to work, so what i did was reinstall it, and it worked, but if you did that and it didn't work, thats the most i can help you.

Hey, i don't hear division voices when i click on them and so on. I have all sounds maxed. Tryed zooming in. Tryed at war and zoomed in. Tryed clicking or selecting few at one and only one. The same repeat with a general and field marchal. Still no yelling from them. Only regular default sounds like boots and tank sounds when i click on tank division. But like on normal infantry its only boots and the same sound over and over. I tryed the same with Soviet, Germany, Italy, France, Spain. No yelling...

Soo i have this problem where i cant run my mods when i open my launcher so i tried to fix it but now only one mod works even though all of them are up to date every time i try to enable a different mod it says "Saving mod load order failed Please verify the launcher has access to your documents folder". I Tried a clean resinstall a lot of times i tried deleting .mod files and reloading them i have verified integrity and cleared cache nothing works, any fixes or am i stuck ?

Looks like I found another very simple solution

For the Saving Mod load order lads like me

Just avoid deleting the documents folder like I did before, or if your pretty lazy changing the dlc_load file

Instead just remove the launcher then download it again

It will only work on the moment you download it again via clicking play through steam, once you close it it resets back to the error, if you wanna launch the game again remove it again, it brings you up on the launcher screen where happily you can pick your mods

Just ignore the "restart launcher" thing

what happened to me too, I went into task manager and shut down all hoi4 and steam related tasks then I deleted them in program files 82 then I reinstalled steam and hoi4 and it worked
