In my japan practice game I did manage to cap china by 1938 but it felt a bit werid (mengjiang delay joining and sinkiang not joining at all) do you think I should start again to get the hang of playing japan in the early game or continue the save after i defeat china?

Hey guys, could someone please give me some tips on tanks?
For PvE (when not playing as superpower), I almost always build typical infantry divisions, made of 6x infantry and 3x artillery + full support groups (as I am usually low on manpower, but dont have capacity for full tank divisions).
I want to try add more flavour to it, but not sure how. Dont need something super tryhard, but also dont want to build something dumbly weak.
Probably my first question - when to build artillery tanks, or anti-tank tanks, or flamethrower tanks?
Is the cost that good its better than the classic artillery or anti-tank?
And second question, whats some good eco tank division for smaller countries? To build after 1940?

Really depends on country, some countries on default come with a very diverse army, which would make a 5 div army better than a 24 div ones
for like the lowest difficulty?
Italy for example, they have irregulars which might be nice to have at the start of the game to fight in africa, but they are overall shit and cant be deleted normally
they do take half supply as spgs do

Hello Topazand. I tried your advice on defeating China as Japan and it worked. Still need to get the hang of it as sometimes after retreating to get total mob, I can't retake beping or the mengjiang-manchurian line gets breached tho I think i may try capped menjiang the moment they join.

Every factory has a output and you can check it on wiki
Base output is 4.5 and it's multiplied by your current production efficiency and factory output modifier to get the production capabilities of that factory
For example if prod efficiency and factory output modifier is both 1, and an artillery piece costs 4.5, every day the factory would produce one artillery piece

I recently booted up the game for myself and that is the source of my confusion. My biggest thing is idk how to create and organize my actual army/armies
Organize your army into one or multiple generals. Either one for offensive and one for defensive. Infantry are mainly defensive besides special forces. Cavalry, Motorized Infantry, and tanks are more offensive.
You also want to have a field marshal for your generals
So for example, I typically have the first 4/5 generals commanding infantry divisions, which my 5th general commanding special forces, cavalry, or armor
Another thing. Your division templates are the backbone of winning or losing battles.

pretty late for navy, germany ai is pretty much cooked atp bcs of economy of conquest, you can try to hold out, doing air is your best chance but you cant outproduce allies atp

lowers organisation (meaning your divs cannot fight as long as it can without line arty)
has 3 combat width instead of infantry's 2cw, and has much higher production cost; later arty models dont have higher soft attack per cw than inf with gun 3
overal just use support arty as it effectively has 0 cw
this game boils down to reading the tooltip really
so do it
the biggest downside is all the "line arty" buffs and arty dude in ur high command is basically useless because unless u completely kill the org and hp of the template the composition of arty in the template is like 8% and has way less buffs than infantry
so ur 20% arty attack is only 20% of 8%
How can this game be so dumb: I Just defeated Germany in 1939 with Dem Italy guaranteeing Austria, and changed gov to Dem for them. 1 month later they declare war to Poland. I just checked and they simply kept the Nazi tree while democratic, wtf lol

Despite having them maxed out in research and doctorine, and giving them even light flame tanks and light regular tanks support groups (with artillery and logistic), and having supply via transporter lines, they get anhiloated by UK units guarding the ports
So how the hell can I invade UK without Naval superiority
I might have made the mistake to land them on the port, instead of next to it tho

depends on how fast they already are, like if they arent the slowest in the fleet its chill, like old destroyers with old engines are fine I think.

For light attack cruisers I think you just get as much light attack
On the cruiser you can swap out some medium batteries for secondray ones for cheaper production cost

i rushed the ports everywhere in the beginning while pausing the game but couldnt even get close to them
i rush down independence now, with my 11 divs, trying to make new one while producing 4 guns a day and then i show you how it goes
1 - you need to micro your units. EXCLUSIVELY. You can't afford any form of battleplanning or frontline. Concentrate units where you can supply them and need them. Don't push mindlessly and let the enemy run in deadzones for nothing while you prioritize targets
2 - declare independance basically as soon as they dec on china. You NEED them to be distracted, otherwise you'll be overwhelmed. Scaling isn't an option, except if you're willing to wait for the allies to kill them
3 - you won't have an economy. You build nothing but mils, mils and more mils. You want guns asap to get units to pin, snake and garrison ports. You want to encircle, snake some more and bring in specialized units to kill. You buy the equipment you can't produce and get important techs (why get construction when all civs go into buying ? get production and gun techs instead)
After kicking them out of mainland (ideally they're still fighting in china in shanghai)
to cap japan you just want paratroopers, and 1936 fighters. I used heavy fighters because I was worried about range but that's likely an error
you want big paras, divs to follow and planes. Guns, planes and a whole lot of buying arty and support is what will win you the war
