Infantry: 8-9 infantry battalions, support AA and artillery.
Armor: I can't say what's the great community overmind template, but what I use is 9x mechanized infantry, 8x medium SPG, motorized AA, logistics, field hospital, medium flametank, armored engineers, armored recon.
If you don't yet have 5-battalion brigades, I'd go for 10x mech/8x SPG and switch armored recon for support AA.
(You can also optionally slot in a battalion of tank destroyers optimized for armor/piercing to get a bit of the Space Marine effect)
Just learning how to play now, chose romania because its still europe but less responsibility from a historical pov. What is "good" performance for a first romania save. I didnt join the axis but i did supply oil to germany and I capitulated both hungary and the soviet union so I think im doing okay, but i dont really understand why I was able to blitz moscow in this save but I lost to poland as germany

I suppose you could add in a second motorized AA battalion, but I don't see the point, plus 35-width fits better into some terrain types. I think the 36-width advice is partly based on assuming all your battalions are 2-width.

I always have a problem (or more than one, depends on how you see it): my forces land, the brittsh arrive super fast, my forces don't arrive in time and if they do, they don't have the time to entrench. and there's also the british airforce that just keeps doing /give fighter, so I don't have air supremacy either

I want to train my fleet, so I move them to a port that is safe (no enemy ships yet) but when I click the train they go back to the point they spawned to train where there's hundreds of enemy ships
how can I make them stop going there? I dock them at the port I want and press train but then they go right back to where they were to train which is really bad for them

aa bricks work so well they are frequently banned so look at your mp games' rules to make sure you arent doing banned stuff

I usually just use them with special forces.

If you’re historical follow the focus tree and take all the free land
Focus all your troops except one army to defend French border against Poland, about one army in Koenigsberg and the rest on the proper border

Tbh, I don’t like managing different stuff so I use only one usually unless I need to (but it kinda bothers me)
By need to, it’s mostly mountaineers on specific places where tanks just doesn’t work
mountaineers aren't that useful on germany tbh, i would only use them in like an invasion of the caucuses, italy or switzerland if you invade them (though you shouldn't)
good tanks can push anything anywhere in singleplayer
I just use them as infantry on steroids
they are good just because with AAT they have really good stats compared to inf

when doing tanks, you should either specialize into space marines (only 1-2 tanks per division and have all of your divisions be that) or a massive concentration of tanks

space marines are divisions with primarily infantry that use tanks to try to get more armor than standard anti tank has piercing

your better off having a more concentrated force of good tank divisions that can push anywhere than a few that can't
in sp u wanna always use spgs just becasue of how much extra soft u get, support arty in tanks isnt worth it instead of it use light tank recon with maxxed breakthrough, also alway use mech and if u dont have mech cav/camels are better than motorized

u want around 300 or more hp on ur tank

not great, special forces generally specialize in the terrain that tanks aren't great at and its good to have your tanks be faster and you can't motorize special forces

They shouldn’t break in most terrains and on mountains, mountaineers should win before they take too much casualties
that extra breakthrough would probably be cancelled out by the terrain debuffs

It’s because there are lots of different options that can work, especially in single player
Just pick and choose one and focus on that for one game until you learn how things work
i don't know all the modern metas but you shouldn't mix special forces and tanks together
they aren't mutually exclusive

use tanks for tank duties and special forces for special forces duties
special forces are not very expensive so you can very easily do both

there are 2 different kinds of artillery, line artillery and support artillery. line artillery should not be used in vanilla at all and support artillery is pretty good

They're negligible for armor divisions
its fine till like 38 since ai never rushed gun 2 anyway and line arty will help u to crit it but later on it just becomes bad compared to gun 2-3
