Mobile recon and assault works with infantry because it increases breakthrough from light tank recon. If you're not using that and instead using normal engineers then you pick field engineering

both are good with the new doctrine changes, gbp gives more max planning which means more stats = better for attacking

meanwhile sfp mainly gives u more recovery so you can click more often or recover if u get pushed from a tile
