yea
its uh
too early for that
I and I only got 1 army tank division right now
so
Im wondering if I should wait to get 1 more
so whatcha think?
Welp
I needed more tank divisions
so i lost
you don't need tanks to cap poland
it's useful but not necessary
My infantry
keeps
just
not 1 shotting them
they take till 1942 to fully cap 😭
I GOT NO DLCS
ok?
build sufficient air
and use the right support companies
and they will crumble
idk what the plane names are
the stuka is ground attack
have like 5-10 mils on fighters
and 10-15 on cas
got it
Guys, is this still a good division? I'm not sure if it's still viable cause it a littile old
if you can afford mecha you can prolly afford tanks instead of the motorized artillery
wait for reichswerke
also line art is not that good, and neither is the anti tank for ai
okay
did like
a singular person ever play hoi1?
info on the internet is so scarce that it seems like it
how do i even fking go to the settings and turn off that damn music
I mean yeah
never was good
krupp
tho krupp is for mp
u prob don’t need it for sp
line arty is beyond dogshit for pushing, even worse in old updates
also no reason for at in singleplayer
ok tx
it's not even that bad tbh
but the org losses are horrid
there is absolutely no info about anything on the internet
abt this game
it is for pushing
its not as bad for defence
but for pushing it is very bad
only reason is that ai has such shit divs that it isn’t that punishing
im joking ofc but its so little
real lol
can we get some line arty breakthrough please paradox
'no you get soft attack, and more soft attack, and nothing but soft attack'
but that's not what we need sire
use motorized
arty
a whopping 5 extra breakthrough
I mean what else would you use arty for
if this game was any more realistic, arty would be god tier at both attacking or defending
but unfortunately, arty gets relegated to low-mid tier because of how stats work
for attack you want things like breakthrough
arty doesnt give that
it doesnt give hp
it doesn't?
org is like nothingburger on offensive divs so its fine
i don't think I like ever used line art in divs so I wouldn't know ❤️🩹
yikesss
Can someone teach me how to play better?
you learn best from doing
you can also read pins for some help
Pins would be a good start
You wouldn’t learn much by yourself since lots of stuff work in single player and unless you calculate the stuff yourself, it might not be obvious what is best without some prior knowledge
not everything needs calculation
I meant that learning from people who already know is better than trying to figure out yourself (at least mostly)
Starting army at least on previous versions was enough to beat Poland
support arty is good
yeah I know
but i'm saying what else would you use arty for if not for soft attack
you don’t use it
because the amount of soft it gives for the cost is shit
u don’t need the soft in an infantry division
for soft attack
if you can get breakthrough it might not be bad
Does anyone have any advice for me invading Nepal? I'm really new to this game and I'm playing East India Company cuz it doesn't require war, which is the one thing I can't grasp. I have Nepal fully surrounded and just want it cuz it's an eyesore, but every time I try to rush it's only city, I get quickly overrun. Is there somthing I'm missing as to why I can't get to the city (I have like 20k the troops as them on that border). Any help is appreciated :3
New to the game. I'm having my divisions train rn, but they keep getting this attriation issue and many other issues. How do I fix?
omg bruh
that comes with training
as well as the org loss
did you not see the popup?
I did
But I didn't know why
I thought it was supply reasons. So, I upgraded their suppy hub, infrastructure, and railways
Is facility supply just impossible in remote places? I got a level 3 railway to vladivostok and no units there, but I still cant supply the research facility
Do doctrine bonuses that say they apply to tanks and not tanks and tank variants still apply to self propelled guns?
Mountaineers probably
Maybe try CAS
change ur template to a cheap one that doesn’t use arty
just a random horse division with nothing else
Thank you very much, would airdrop also be viable on top of that?
it will take out the stuff itself from stockpile
Ooh that would help
Cuz that would decrease their orgs yeah
How do you paratroop tho ?
🥀
You can do a fallback wait for them to push then just battleplan
I got no clue how to do that
He saying wait and then push
Basically just move your units far away from the border let them push out then you push them
They won’t have their units stacked on 1 tile
Also when using troops to attack is it correct to just right click where you want them to attack?
Yup
Maybe use the command thing for attack and agressively do battleplans and a spearhead attack all at once
don’t listen to this guy, he sold me fent
Also you guys rlly should try East India Company, it's sm fun. I got all this with literally only 1 war against burma by js spamming civilian factories
Green air on Barb
lmao
ok
no
if it only says tanks, tds and spgs are excluded
So would I be better off going with streamlined deployment as my tank subdoctrine if I’m doing self-propelled artillery divisions as opposed to armored spearhead?
depends, armored spearhead breakthrough bonuses are still pretty relevant for flametank and tank recon
though for softmaxxing streamlined deployment is better
But that only applies to a very small portion of a 36 width armored.
that's close to 100 breakthrough from those 2 components alone with armored spearhead
+20% break for the spgs themselves
its honestly up to you what you value more
Would that really be that much after all the breakthrough debuffs spg’s get?
its especially important because of that
breakthrough is an important stat for offensive divs
also those buffs/debuffs are additive
you can fully cancel out the spg debuff with radio alone, so that 20% bonus is positive
Won’t streamlined deployment still give like 10% breakthrough?
if u have dlc theres a doc for spg
That isn’t in tank doctrines.
That’s an artillery doctrine.
no there a spg doc in tanks
idk i havent played in a bit
but i dont believe so
not exicitly buffing them anyway
no, streamlined gives 10% break, armored spearhead gives 40% to tanks and 20% to spgs
oh i misread
the 40% on tank from armored spearhead is massive for flametank and tank recon
also yea, spg doctrine is in artillery doctrines
@tepid umbra what should I choose
im pretty sure theyre different kinds of bad
but i also forgor
which is best for deleting poland and soviet
pick the 4th subdoctrine damn
mobile defense I think
its OP
why mobile defence
best new japan path?
best potential or best relative strenght
relative strength
prob hist lol
i js want to easy cap china and kill us
kk
err
could you uh
perhaps help me and tell me which commands I Should tell my armys to do o poland in vc
front line
I did that aleardy
I Just
wanna know which for offensive
and which for spearhead
and then the basic offense plan I forget what it's called
just offensive
you don't need spear head rn
no spearhead?
arlight uhh
hop on vc
and tell me where to stop the offesnive line
like how far should it go
also merry christmas
js put it all the way to the end
it doesn't really matter
are these divisiosn templates any good?
swap the motorized for mecha
youre battleplanning (not controlling the units)
isn't it good for multiplayer micro
or did they nerf that
and they actively decide to just not care about the tiles on their sides
you move manually
spearhead is for rpers
I swear it was good for planning bonus or sumn
no
same amount?
yuh
motorized in this economy?
I mean it's cheaper than mecha 😭
no??
less hp less stats less hardness
it takes more losses per ic
and after combat is more expensive
but it's cheaper per truck
what is the best design for medium tank
artillery is cheaper per batallion than a tank that doesnt mean its better
usually its bad
never said it was better 😭
(its significantly worse)
thank you man
is the high reliability necessary
just do clicks if you want more stat
Hello! Coming back to the game after a year ish so I have some quick questions:
- is standard line infantry defensive template still 16W inf only?
- What are my best options for offensive divs as a small country like Hungary?
mountaineer good
for offensive divs you might be able to get tanks up and running even as hungary
36W Tanks?
mobile defense
Id have to sacrifice air and go AA in all my divs then right
- it doesn't matter, use whatever you have, spend xp on doctrine not templates
- your starting infantry
if you don't make air you need aa
oh god did the new doctrines change a lot of things now
no it doesn't
more stat
all it changes is that you won't have anything for war
i mean it did technically change stuff
so it's useless
im so cooked
🤣 just pick assualt infantry and take the 20% soft
you won't have time for anything else
me when i troll
?
indiv excellence got buffed a lot
+5 hp to all inf including sf
you don't get any doctrine if u don't know how to train
or train with the wrong method
so just pick the one that give you the best stats day 1
:wilt
and call it
you get inf
you don't lol
maybe not
I trained the whole polish army for three years and barely got full
is large unit tactics still good
you need to do the funny training method to get full
i've been running that
yes
any doctrine can only be good if you have it
??
if you don't have it it doesn't do anything
its like saying having gun better than not having gun
0
In africa, every 60 minutes, an hour passes
why are we talking tank armies
LOL
I have 3
you definitely should not have 3
send a screenshot
I bet they are not equipped
topaz i was trying a run earlier only buying equipment
i think something like lithuania is good
your first 2 enemies suck
so\
you need to understand how the game works
it is not templates that fight the war, template is just a way of organizing equipment, it's your actual equipment(and manpower) fighting. so it makes no sense to ask how many tank division you should get
what matters is how much equipment you have
Does anyone have any suggestions for a resource to teach a complete noob this game? i've played the tutorial over and over for 30 hours and cannot beat Ethiopia with Italy.
if you deploy division that does not have equipment in them(look at the yellow bar on your tanks)
play the other side
they would not get any stat from tank because there is no tank in there
as a general rule, you always only deploy division when you have all the necessary equipment
instead of thinking "I make 48 tank division" the correct method is look into your stockpile and make as many tank as you can equip
use ALL your air and ALL your units
I should just only have 1 or 2 tank armys fully equiped
and the rest
are infantry armys?
no
^^^
put a decent amount of guys on the south as they don't usually
you should have as many tank army equipped as you can have
that goes for all units
same for infantry
again, template does not fight the war
Alright so How many armys should be tanks
templates win tactically economy - logistics management wins strategically
however many you can make
you need a mix of both
do you want to restart?
So should I try to go for air then as hungary??
i just want a general idea to know what i should concentrate my industry towards
i mean
romania is saving me
but its 1940 now
well youre not playing the game
so yeah
5 speed no research no focus unit sunassigned probably a million other issues
if you want an easy win, research fighter day 1 and put at least 30 factory on it when you get 1940 fighter, research 1939 gun asap, only make fighter, CAS, and for army infantry equipment, support artillery, support equipment(in ratio of ~10:3:1), build military factory only from 1937, build refinery from 1939 till war
don't even touch the template screen
i research what you told me
those are not the most important things
ive been doing that same research strat
3 speed bro
just restart and do this
welp I gotta go for an few imma restart so lets see how this plays out
only make infantry, and air
so
do not touch your template
lol
just dont play germany?
like if you dont wanna be the main character just dont be
I want to play Germany for fun
Im just letting the game play out right now since im doing something important then im restarting
This is what I find fun
you should
it's a good choice
if you win on ger you probably know how to play
👋
is this still the meta for med tank design
I’m playing as Germany and Alkett can further cancel it out as they can get 20% more breakthrough for SPG through traits.
Can someone explain how my puppet is fighting the allies, whom i am at war with, within their own country
Whats that supposed to mean?
Spgss
spgs are meta now?
oh they got changed to 2?
so what i go line inf and then spg divs as breakthrough divs?
can i support that as a minor
How should you change your template to represent that?
From a standard 36 width armored.
Make a design with spg first
Go to atormed support
In your template
And replace your meds with med spgs
I know.
But like what do you do with the saved width.
Oh wait.
8 mech 10 armor
I forgot tanks are 2 width somehow.
If armor 3 width
And that spgs used to be 3 width.
Then its 46 width
They are
Spgs are 2 width
so.... SPG divs or planes as a minor
how would one do power struggle
as liangguang clique
i need nanjing or beiping but like
it just goes to china
nvm i know what to do
im special
alright santa deniers, how did those presents get under your tree?
What tree
anyone know how to get naval supremacy fast as India in late game (1947) againts the allies with no navy. If it is even possible
if you dont have a christmas tree you wont get presents smh
Please does anyone have any tips for minor nations like hungary or finland
Tips in what field?
Templates? Focus Tree?
Designs?
those are vastly different
Well you could naval bomb the enemy
Especially in 1947
They just spawn there. You get % bonus depending in which country you are
Templates would be nice or tips on if planes / tanks are worth it
tanks - no, planes - no, you just dont have an industry for it
Even as Austria Hungary you would focus only on like 4 tank divs if even, tho in singleplayer they are not as needed tbh
I can give ya template for infantry only if you want
What do I use for offensive then
can anyone help teaching me how to properly war?
Uhh i would be grateful for that if that's not a problem
Yep just booting up the game
if you have 1600 CAS in stockpile which cannot naval strike but you are now making CAS that can. Is there a way to lets say convert 1000 old CAS to new naval CAS without changing them all because i still use the old CAS for land.
I mean naval cas should be useable on land too
well it says it cannot convert from stockpile, so it cant use the other cas for some reason
I’d like to see it
you rush gun, make infantry, get all the manpower you can get
and annex everything you can asap
you use everything you have for offensive
if you have two infantry and the enemy have 1 you win
Are you sure a minor would have the manpower for that?
ofc
you always annex for the industry
hungary also cores everything anyways
I love puppets thooo especially when you have a faction
I understand very early on just having infantry only and taking over the neighbors
But once it gets to like 39-40 and I’m a bit bigger, would it be better to start investing in like tanks or planes
no typically you stay with 1 build
for hungary you could technically do air for finland you can technically do tanks
has to do with natural resources + MIOs+industry size
I see
for air you want to outproduce enemy air
which isnt very viable as hungary typically but like maybe idk
no
you can start investing in air, but that's after you win the war
you can do basically anything at that point
im only really asking from a SP perspective if that changes ur answer @glacial steeple
is the pinned fighter template in this chat still correct?
if you don't win the air you won't have anything extra
by winning the war on hungary you would want to annex germany
no
it doesnt
yes
you can win the air war easier in sp is the only difference
but you need to remember that it's a lot of investment that pays off late
you won't even have it researched until 1938
and it's definitely not a good way to spend your limited ic
the best way to win the war especially early is having more inf
line arty in the inf or just straight 16/18w inf?
just whatever you started with
there is an argument for cas if your enemies have literally no airforce
however czechs and romania have an airforce
issue is fighting germany
you can make it 16 width but it doesn't matter
best is probably 32 width
but it's whatever
get more guns and manpower is the most important thing
@candid thistle here it is. I might as well show ya the wole strategy.
You would add more infantry to the big inf tempalte so you have 35.7w combat width, I just didnt have enough experience to unlock it. The smaller divison templae is for holding lines and defending. You start with that and then convert like one army to the bigger template. DONT focus on getting as much armies as possible. One fully equiped army is better then a whole underequipped army group.
grand battleplan is the meta now?
Seems like you pinged the wrong person but I'm still here
For offense pretty much
Well you replied
use support artillery and don't use signal
no longer superior firepower? I remember that being meta for small nations for the longest amount of time
So i pinged ya xD
it's fine
but you won't have the most immediate benefit
just pick gbp
For pure stats yes and for defending too
Thats just wrong
lol
if you need reinforce rate it's just skill issue
Signal companies are needed always
and not having support artillery is troll
I always use support arty
It's just a stat boost
someone pls help
Iniative + cordiantion is king
Im not saying suppoort arty is bad but I wouldnt trade it for signals
i assume i should try to get a chief of army asap for army xp for the doctrines?
Maybe for logistics
what kind of airplane is the most effective for naval strikes
the difference, in the current checksum, is that gbp gives you 10% max planning while sfp give you a bit org and LOTS of org recovery(mainly), but on gbp you get the most important bonus(planning) right the way
so it's better to pick that
both are irrelevant
compared to support artillery which is straight up 20% more soft
Oh cool a conflict
CAS

with bomb lock and dive brake
if you want to kill surface navy make medium airframe heavy fighter with torpedo 2
CAS is good enough against subs
what am i doing wrong, everytime i declare war on romania i end up fighting the brittish, czhechs, and yugoslavia for no reason
really because i think maybe 100 get shot down for one destroyer when i send them above the english channel
if they are guaranteed yes
they arent
yes if you want to kill enemy navy you need something better
with torpedo 2
they create a faction and invite those nations in
well yeah
....
I guess so
With Sfp I would take it since it gives so many bonuses to support art but with GB it's not really worth it
who tf is doing field engineering here
im starting an new match
Pretty much
I mean it is better than most doctrines tbh, but i think mobile recon and assault, siege artillery, or air cavalry would be better for infantry builds
yes in general
does anybody know why experimental facilites research does ages before completing, it is halfway for almost 3 years now
ofc you can't on hungary
also whats the best economy branch to pick as the austrian empire
Supply?
Perchance
why not?
Should only take a year tbh
And often less than that
trianon
Depends on how many factories are assigned to construct it
^
well yeah but once you get it removed
austria focus tree doesn't have different ecnomy paths?
it is already constructed
yeah you want to go to war with austria
Should take like 150 days ish if you have all 15 you could use
then you go extensive conscription and war economy
so topazand
should I do this if you want an easy win, research fighter day 1 and put at least 30 factory on it when you get 1940 fighter, research 1939 gun asap, only make fighter, CAS, and for army infantry equipment, support artillery, support equipment(in ratio of ~10:3:1), build military factory only from 1937, build refinery from 1939 till war
don't even touch the template screen and combine the research with this? esearch tool, construction, electronic, and 1940 fighter
after those get the second tier tool, concentrated, construction, rubber tech
with the 3 slots
then start researching toward 1939 infantry equipment
and try to apply your industry bonus not on 1937 techs
ok just look for efficiency cap and output and pick whichever has the most of that
try it...
and play the game
don't go 5 speed
use your air, use your equipment
I did recommend some guys on here and reddit to use signal companies for like half a week
how do you check your naval invasion prep
Hover with your mouse over the arrow
Hover over your general's arrow
Above your general
what speed should I go
Ok, thank you
ahh just play
try to engage with the game and do stuff
1 speed is good?
no..
Lol
ahh just play
logi is goated now
+5 hp
per inf batallion
yeah 5 hp... but only on individual excellence
it's quite good
are there other doctrines
usually stay on 4 speed
and assault infantry
or play on 5 speed and pause
i think 4 is good it isnt slow
if you think it's going to slow on 4 it's probabyl that you was't doing stuff
Yeah
Nah 5 speed battleplan only with occasional micro
what factorys and building should I build first
an angel lost its wings
that's fine if you know what you are doing
minus the occasional micro part
you would barely be macroing on 5 speed
INDIVIDUAL EXCELLENCE except you're using it on special forces or something OMG YOU BOZO DON"T YOU READ WHAT YOU SAY
airstrikes @neat widget
should I stop producing transports and bombers?
on SF its goated?
25% hp
Ah I see
equal to non indiv inf
i dont see why you wouldnt on an SF build
ok if you really want a script
just do this
and then only build mils
Yeah totally fair
mills everywhere or only their
recovery rate makes hp that much more important
but the thing you want to know about construction is that you always build infrastructure and civilian factory first, then military factory
False
never mix construction
always build in the highest infrastructure states first
how do I know they have the highest
is it when im gonna build infra?
Depends on how bad your pc is
only if you FA
on inf it's pretty bad
logi is expensive
Oh wait
wait that's very true lol
like if you go pure SF the logi is cheaper than the reduced losses no
special forces
Ah I see
special forces
having 30% more stat also reduces losses
also logi take a support slot
Yeah special forces have low HP
Paratroopers 22, and the rest only have 20 HP
Add 5 to each of them and it's a 18.5%/20% reduction in losses
para indiv excellence build sounds funny
you build infra only on states with a lot of building slots(like the ones I did)
not good but funny
berlin has a lot
when you are in construction screen you see the 80% 60% those numbers tell you
each level is 20%
Is para bad because of no good modifiers unlike mountaineers and marines on land combat?
got it
no cw reduction and that
I do not see a naval invasion plan prep time when I hoover mouse over either the general or the invasion plan arrow. I have activated the plan, but I am not currently at war with the nation. Do need to be at war?
Part of the issue is that if you're ever attacking then assault infantry has like 30% more breakthrough
That would be either mountaineers or rangers I assume
😂 yes your marine can't just randomly land in another nation for no reason
Yea but who attacks in this game anyway
sort of the whole point of singleplayer
Sarcasm 😔
you can really never justify picking anything other than assualt infantry
it can irl
it fits the playstyle perfectly
you start with a cheap div with only support artillery
and get +20% soft on first node
then you get support light tank and flame in there as you get more eco
each one get huge bonus from doctrine
I was going for large unit tactics all the time but now going assault infantry, I feel like it’s better even for inf offensive (or am I wrong?)
every minor should go assult inf
I know, but I have never clarified that point before. You as the player are so good compared to the AI that defending is typically just a wash
large unit might be better with full doctrine and filled frontline
but you only get stat on 400/500
also combat width reduction is useless before you fill cw
Yeah that's not too dissimlar from my impression too
is this gonna happen
A lot of the larger minors can fill combat width like Poland or India
Even if we include stuff like flame/recon/assault engineer support?
yes
because -0.3 width
but width reduction is sus
it's stat per width only
iirc assault inf also buffs their battalion modifiers to give more breakthrough right?
and you don't gain hp/ic/anything
There's a trick (which I assume is banned in MP) where you plan a naval invasion to someone who you're not at war at... and then at the last moment you edit it last moment so you attack the person you're actually at war with
yes it's 30% soft + break and a bunch of support artillery buff
Also you can naval invade people you have military access to
hmm?
Just that you'd take no territory because you're not at war with
that's a trick but it's for gaining planning on a non frontline tile
you can always draw invasion anywhere you like and change it
so build military factorys untill 1938 or 1939
Ah I see
I basically found it out as a way to not alert the AI into knowing I'm naval invading them basically
Oh another ai cheese
Thanks
But tbh I’ve basically stopped naval invasions after the update
Just paradrop
Yeah
Remember this from around two weeks ago
In the GWR mod yes you get scripted
No fun allowed
Like two days after this screenshot the war ends
Which isn't bad for me, I get early reparations and can focus on the Balkan League more
If you can pull it off it very consistently ends the Italo-Turkish war quickly
although I haven't tried with the scripted peace deal feature off
?
This Poland I assume?
Ah I see
Yeah that makes sense you got a land facility
You need an air facility though, so fit that somewhere in your construction queue
and then yeah after 1939 build refineries
which ones the best for defense?
Sfp
finland
i odnt think sfp is good since i cant produce arty
Wdym you can't
i was just abt to say finland
doing nodric reunion as fasicm
ussr cant leave me be
forest rangers my friend 🙂
rangers with winter
and ur good
and dont worry if they push in ur country a bit
there supply its very limited
Well finland does have those special snow companies so you don't need to do mountaineer branch for snow rangers
?
There's a strong defensive lake barrier, and if you take Leningrad you're al set
sfp has nothing to do with arti
there entire focus tree its based on winter
it's org recovery
winter logistics and long range patrol
Yup
so wdym dont go winter
hmm which one do i pick
defense?
your country is also all forest
enthenment postures
assault infantry
yeah??
u have generals
whos
starts
with
never pick that
that doesn't do anything
thats how i won berlin below 1m casualts
For generals get the ones with commandos
??
You can stack double commando + AA for max CAS damage reduction
attempted rage bait?
it's not really 20% enternchment
it's 0.2
do you know
thats still how i won berling below 1m casualts
ok?
Perhaps useful in MP but idk
it's only useful when you only defend 100% the times
and your divs are always entrenched
i.e. mech
Fair
well for the commandos also get camoflague expert of course
is this a good template for the winter war
also getting 1m casualty against ai is kinda crazy lol
yes
1948
get the special support company from your tree and add them in
fought off the nazis since they did barbarossa
pick desperate defense on operations doctrine so you have 5% more manpower to spare
also yeah sfp does buff line artillery by 10% but that's not nearly enough to consider it useful
now finland it's a lot easier since you don't need to one div train and everything for mass mob
desperate defense is 5% recruitable on pick
yup i always do desperate defense
Normally I don't do desperate defense but a free 5% with Finland out of all nations is critical
also you might not even want the engineers here since that alone is 23% of the cost of the division
Does Player Led Peace Conferences work for MP?
something modern politics
but yes it has happened before and quite a lot
take both winter logistics and long range patrol when you go on the offensive
foxsy told me all special companies arent affected by doctrine rn
which is def a nerf
should still be good cuz snow tho
Whats good?
grand assault for sure then
all of them are rlly good at their own thing
grand assault for attack stats
mission type for recovery
i assume deep battle isn't good despite the fact it gives a lot of reinforce rate
infiltration tactics is basically the new version of the old GBP right
Desperate defense gives 5% recruitable pop
flame tank is definitely
@pliant condor Sorry for all the Q's but hypothetically, for example as hungary, would i wanna build the land warfare building very early on?
in order to start working towards flame tanks
What about helicopters? Heard those were good
Oh did they get nerfed or something
rapid domination is basically a mix between 25% infantry attack + 4% reinforce rate, whereas deep battle gives 10% reinforce rate + 5% infantry attack + 5% defense + 10 org
I see why people like rapid domination more
always been
air facility is the most useless one
radar is overrated
Lol okay ill just get the land warfare facility then
oke so i need a bit of help when it comes to naval invasions i did a bit of reseach and now i can consistently take out france without that big of a issuse but i cant start a naval invasion so save my life it constantly says 0 divisions/no convoys for troops even though i have naval supremacy and idk what to do to fix it some help would really be apricieted :]
I got dutch trade to like 170 should I still invade em
don't click that decision
it doesn't do anything
I got them to 170 😭
shbb and cruiser sub are good
are they better than radar though
So I got this event with Germany: Vichy France is suggesting "an end to the occupation", gaining parts of France back. I just dont see waht benefit that would bring to Germany?
radar is useless
pretty much
fly fighters to get detection
and fly scout plane to get intel
I fly 3000 fighters and only get like 10% detection, what's up with that
Also a lot of minors don't have the capacity to just have even that many fighters
3k fighter is 30% detection
no range
im pretty new. got the game a few days ago and i have 40 hrs already but how do you invade uk as germany since you cant set a front line on the borders? paratroopers and airforce or is it more simple?
detection is mostly a non-issue
read the wiki about how it works
as long as you have like 1k it would be enough
and there are ways around it like baiting the ai to fight in your airzone and get ground detection
it's very easy to have full detection
either you naval invade, or use paratrooper
hey
why does planning work so well
is there a irl reason?
damn
lemme go to general actually
combat modifier
modifier multiplicative
more green? more stat by a lot
more red? less stat by a lot
miss out on like +100% modifier or whatever it is
one of the largest ones and its fully controllable
evil paradox decide that if you sit there for 10 days you get 100% stats
Yeah
I remember being in GWR the other day as the Ottomans and getting 93% planning on my units
Pretty much yeah
is there a guide on MIOs?
specifically looking for any pointers on the infantry equipment MIO
Do infantry advisor bonuses apply to militia?
is it worth to create faction's theaters?? like a theater as germany to keep italy in afrika-italy-balkans zone
no downside so definitely nice
I like to take the left branch then the top middle and the middle-left branch, then the rightmost top node
is their a focus for denmark?
how does trade influence work?
for the first time of me playing hoi4 i am getting like less resources because of low trade influence
I have over 500 hrs why is this js now happemomg
Considering communist Hungary can’t add militia battalions, could 12 width militia spam with artillery, AA, and engineer support companies still be viable, especially with 5% more recruitable population from Hungary red army?
yes
still very strong with new doctrines
prc is prob best potential nation now bc they have the best inf at max
Weserübung if you're on the hsitorical path
They can also just add militia battalions to get their units up to 18 width.
Should I add field hospitals?
if u need manpower
12w isnt even horrible
it fits well in many scenarios
Might need it early on. I’ll have 10% recruitable population base without production debuffs after Hungarian red army, plus potentially 1.5% more if I go expand the Honvedseg. That doesn’t include any recruitable population factor buffs.
But that is still applied to Hungary’s population of only around 8 million.
To form get any more cores (the ones that Greater Hungary gets) I need to defeat Czechoslovakia, Romania, and Yugoslavia in a fight.
Then I need to beat Greece, Albania, Bulgaria, and the big one, Italy, to unify the balkans.
Not sure if my manpower will last that long.
nope
u get all that land for free
in tree
Yippee I dont gonna justify
For my new states is german offical or local town memeber better
Denmark will fall pretty much instantly
idk never seen that feature
personally id do local town member
its about the german puppet feature thingy
idk how to say it
way too long
Norway you might not even want to invade since it's a bit bit and far, but it's theoretically not hard
Was doing that before so got it
peak
If Britan becomes facist during the war will they ally with us
historical or alt?
Not as communist Hungary (at least in the path where you are not papa Stalin’s good boy).
You have to fight for it.
Their at 60 facist
The dem is 50
Or 40
Cant remeber
No why irl
oh
The uk has been fash since birth
Youll be fineeee
Ngl
Can i complain about how the british "decolonized" things? (I am anti colonial.)
Like why didnt you let them draw their own borders😭😭😭
Thats like the soviets going into the usa, invading, occupying it untill like 2481 and then making ohio too big so now tennesee is pissed
is norway naval invasion only?
yes
what should I choose
As germany I would choose trade interdiction
good for convoy raiding
if you want a strong fleet
then fleet in being
is spaa any good?
no
did you hear this from the official hoi4 youtube channel?
Which is better?
Uh depends on if you're doing dispersed or concentraetd
i always go for left personally
I'd so do the one that increases retention for you
fair
Time to start a german playthrough 🥀
I don't even know how boats work
