you're not going into war in 1937 as Hungry or Romania though, you can spend your time trying to make good infantry, not having to hot wire something for like Manchuko or China there

Remove some of those divisions from the tile, 27 divs in one tile is destroying your supply
So your taking a penalty from that + A forest tile is already easier to defend

Its a good template I would only make the change of the fuel tank to drop tank and one less 4x hmg, but if your up against medium/heavy airframes then yeha keep the air attack

Yeah the drop tanks are awesome as range can massively up your efficiency which dictates how many of your planes are actually in that battle

Your also at only 43% air efficiency which is horrific

Means on average only 500 odd planes are actually fighting, the template is decent as a basic try to get range extensions
But for now you gotta stop attacking and build equipment to let your units get their strength back
If the allies are deathstacking then you could also purposfully let them take a few tiles to thin the lines and break through

In your decision tab there are sometimes options to dig for resources in some states.
Not every country gets to dig up stuff tho.
To increase the amount of resources on your own states, you could research Excavation tech.
Otherwise keep importing stuff.

Sinkiang is cooked if Khotan Ma satellites the other Maโs quickly. Even if Sinkiang doesnโt start the war with them, once Khotan Ma has 20k men in the field they can get a war goal of their own to take Sinkiang. They are doomed if Khotan Ma manages to integrate the other Maโs.
Just have a plan to achieve Autarky and have fun.

With DLC Iโd say Khotan Ma has the best chances of unifying of any warlord unless the Soviets send tanks to Sinkiang. They can satellite the other Maโs let them finish their focuses that grant factories, then integrate a core them, along with coring Sinkiang if they beat them.
In the few runs Iโve done Iโve typically needed up with a 12 mils and a similar number of total factories to China.
If you go down the side with the nationalists path then call for subjugation of other warlords, you and the warlords should be able to handily beat China if you go down the branch to fight them unless they already got most or all of the warlords in the united front.
Youโre also helped by the fact that you can easily a 3rd research slot way before China can.

i will say I routinely beat them but due to my slow playstyl ethey die around 41 ish as I'm a stickler for making my perfect divisions with perfect air rather than risking a deficit of equipment
just use 2 tank divs
youll have 80 tanks in stockpile
and add artillery to hohei shidan to crit more
and ignore the holding inf because they suck anyway

I'm having some trouble getting naval dominance. Sometimes my task forces will just produce a grand total of 0 dominance. I have the zone set to patrol, I see the ships in the sea zone, but they don't produce any naval dominance

Completely new to this game, playing Italy tutorial. For how many civilian factories/military factories/dockyards should I aim so that I have a solid base for escalation? I'm at 40/40/16 and it seems not enough in mid 1939.
I failed getting 750k troops in the field. Division was 9 infantry with engi, artillery, and aa support. Is that too expensive? Can you shorten their training? At some point I produced 10 divisions in parallel, but that wasn't fast enough at 9000 men per division.
Now I'm supposed to produce 300 aircraft each of type fighter, cas, tac, and naval bomber. Can't handle that with 40 factories.
So what do I aim for? I built civilian factories only until start of 1938. But even 2x15 are very slow at building additional factories and infrastructure. Building 6 or 7 synthetic refineries also stalled me a lot.

Request forces puppets and use them to cover the mountains of Northern China. You're never going to push into this area anyway.
Use your garrison forces defend the front. They're capable enough to hold off any Chinese counterattacks and you really need that cover.
Use your actual infantry to push a smaller front. Firstly along the coast to take Shanghai then towards Central China to take Changde and then to the coast again leading towards Guagxi(?).
Buff your infantry. I added one art and was filling up their infantry battalions toward 35 width.
