the point of making a program to remove a lot of coding u wont need to do, plus after u can code, not just pictures, a lot of people dont know how to do basic stuff, so why not just make an easier program, idk whats ur problem
Doing basic stuff might end up being easier in a text editor than your tool
That and anything not basic won't really be possible (or at least not without making the tool way too complicated). And the people using it will never learn the basics, so the moment they want to do something more complex they're starting from scratch again

idk who shat in ur cereal, yeah the tool is not gonna teach u but at least it gives you something that you want, obviously your not gonna make a whole mod from scratch but you can tweak things the way u want, if u really wanna code my dude u can learn that, they can, a tool is not gonna kill that hunger, unless ur not hungry enough, i think it could actually give u some hope for learning or something idk whats up with u, doing basic stuff in a tool is 100% faster also no clue where u got it from, unless ur program is broken thats something else

We tried everything we looked inside the files there is a descriptor file. We deleted her entire mods inside the file and reinstalled it. Unsubscribed from the mods and subscribed again. Still nothing, we even tried clearing the cache still nothing.

I'd say start with making a custom leader with a custom trait, and go from there into national spirits and events, then do focus tree's
As the stuff you learn first will shape how easy it becomes to make a focus tree that has content and gives you events and changes things as you play
One thing you 100% would wanna learn is dynamic focus naming, still like the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Werk from whatever the default fascist name for the focus is

yea, that change, because it gives you an idea of how to make a more dynamic focus tree for generic things that are shared between the different paths you'd end up making
but for sure start with custom leaders and move you way deeper towards focus trees

don't use AI for coding
unless you train it yourself, AI will almost always make mistakes you'll never find
and training yourself takes longer than coding yourself, bc you need to feed it correct answers as a key, then have it output and compare to the key

I would do that, however I think they just become a bother for both sides and aren't very useful. Take the Russian Civil War, for example. The partisans in their civil war often immediately get surrounded and destroyed by the enemy as they have no supply and can't travel far

The partisans usually win the Civil war within a month, because stalins forces are on your border
And if you delay the event you can get more to pile at you, so you can snake the VP's
I'm sorry but if you're proving that you can cheese with the partisans to win the civil war I feel that shows why they shouldn't be implemented. Also the civil war in the USA Rework only takes a few months and is not very difficult so it seems a little pointless

Why my National spirit is not appear?
Hello guys, i recently got a magic error with my mod. i created a mod so every single state is independet (abaout 1000 countrys tho) and after the no compromise no surrendor dlc, the core-system dose not work anylonger. when i start the game, not a single country has it's state as a core state and i cant even add it manuelly using the console ore decisions. anyone know how to get my mods to load? im trying to play millenium dawn but when i press play it boots into vanilla hoi4 and yes i have deleted hoi4 and installed again, i have deleted the hoi4 folder in paradox, ive re installed the mod, i dont have any other mods active, version is correct and i have tried TFR and that launches normally into the mod.
Sounds like you have two versions of millennium Dawn installed. Double check your subscriptions on Steam and your mod folder
the version on steam workshop is 1.12.3 while in the launcher it says i have 1.12.2 ive re installed it on steam but its still 1.12.2 is that a problem?

Removed most irrelevant nations to me in novum vexillum using powershell
And they're truly a massive amount of tags
106 tags removed
imagine the amount of lag they will cause to my potato pc
I run a script that checks every file in history/states (of novum vexillum) for a specified tag that owns that state then it takes that file to my submod
Then I run another script in my submod that removes the line that specifies which tag owns that state and removes any cores
I will only share this version if the original mod author allows me to share it

The crash happens because of the AI calculating airwings, which didn't work the way they do now back then
So I assume it was fine back then

Disable half of them and see if it crashes. re-enable half of the disabled ones if it doesn't. Repeat until the cause of the crash can be determined

no when you validate the buildings and save it, it creates a buildings.txt file in the documents/paradox/hoi4/map folder, and then you can transfer that file to your mod/map folder

It's not in common, the portrait folder is directly in the root folder, be that steamapps/common/Heats of Iron IV or your mod's folder

I can't tell if naval_mine_hit_chance is meant to increase the chance your ships hit enemy mines, or enemy ships hit your mines. The Soviet tree has a focus that decreases the modifier, while the Japanese focus tree increases the modifier, both in focuses that supposedly increase the effectiveness of mine warfare
I'm just gonna operate on the assumption that the modifier increases the chance to hit enemy ships with naval mines

The standard idea that a lot of nations use is a couple dockyards, navy XP, and naval bases at the beginning, then choices between navy style (likely with a doctrine discount) that give research bonuses for certain ships types and/or spirits useful for it.

Itโs based a good bit off a old mod from darkest hour. The โ1914โ mod which starts in the same year, 1897. That being when both Germany started its naval building program, and Russia took port Arthur from China , which infuriated Japan leading to the Russo Japanese war a few years later
Also considering their history it would make sense to start with the creation of the coast guard, followed by the reopening of their naval school and go from there

Itโs mostly finished, most focuses already have effects that I donโt plan on changing, some just have basic placeholder effects because I want to make them more complex later when I have time, and a few donโt have effects yet but are set to 0 or 7 days for now. Hello, I have a question about custom focus icons. I tried to make one, but it only kinda works. First off, the previewer doesn't display it. Second, the two attached error codes get thrown at me, and interestingly enough, in-game, the icon is displayed, but the background is black. However, when I select the focus, the background becomes transparent, like it's supposed to be.

Yeah, you could just give yourself a national spirit that gives like -99% war justification time, but the small problem is that you are playing Millenium Dawn
Honestly I would play Novum Vexillum or Millennium Dawn Classic
They play more like the base game so you don't have to tear your hair out over 1000 new systems the mod adds or the fact that it often runs at a snails pace
Or Red World, which although an alternate history where the Soviets won the Cold War, plays even more like Vanilla and is in my opinion the best modern day scenario (American Republic is my favorite country to play but some others like Canada and Germany can be great too if you play Alien Nation)

Also dont use that website, GIMP supports DDS, you can make it easier on yourself by copying an existing portrait file and swapping out the content, then itll keep your formatting when you save
