you need to include the if scope
the OR needs to be outside the is_controlled_by, as that isn't a scope
actually just use the scope controller = {} instead
the FRA scope isn't really necessary either as that's already the default since it's the french events file (unless another nation gets that event)

Why would swapping a nationality for a character alter their portrait?
Its not that difficult but it is a bit intimidating, imo best way to get into it is by doing something simple like adding a custom nation to learn the basics
Iron workshop on youtube has some pretty good tutorials and the hoi4 modding wiki is a great resource to learn as it explains more indepth how everything works
Hoi modding (for me atleast) is far more time consuming than it is difficult, its mostly just editing a bunch if text files

it'd be adding in T-65,altering the Hardened T-45 to the T-49, altering the Hardened T-51 to the T-60, Adding in X-03 which is Hellfire PA, adding in X-04 which is based off of the FO76 Enclave PA, renaming the APA Mk.I to the X-01, replacing the APA Mk.II with the X-02, adding in Vault Tech Power Armor Mk.II which would be based off of the FO4 Mod that adds in VT PA,adding in Hellcat PA as the ATA Mk.II. Also adding in all sorts of extra infantry tree stuff like Riot Gear and Elite riot gear for Enforcers, Replacing the HERMES Icon with the B-35C armor from the FO4 Mod,but rename it to HERMES Mk.I and adding in a HERMES Mk.II which uses the Enclave Recon Armor from the FO4 Mod as well as adding new models for all of these IF you want. I'd also like if the mod was compatible with ERX
But regarding being compatible with ERX Basically whenever a focus is completed that references APA and APA Mk.II/Black Devil PA and Hellfire replace those with the X-0 variants,along with having those be unlocked and also have the X-04 be unlocked as a researchable tech once Hellfire/X-03 is done
Alongside having a small fix for ERX which allows for the focus that lets you reform the USA turns the color to the lightish blue of the default HOI4 US instead of the blackish/really dark blueish color
Also please have it be compatible with the OWBE+ version of ERX
So like it doesn't alter the changes made to it such as having the focus that lets you form the US turns the nation to the United States of America and not just the United States

I have the following Problem, in this idea that I created, i have a custom country as the target of an attack and defense bonus, Despite me having edited the country localisation, the name of the country won't show up. When I switch the country tag in the code, the name shows up again, so I would assume its a localisation issue, i just cant find where in the localisation file my issue is. This is the part of the "countries_l_english.yml" file that, as far as i am aware, should regulate the name
