Is there a mod which gives surplus of Great War weapons to all nations which should have them? I mean, Entente members running on equipment deficit makes no sense at all, they should have loads of rifles and artillery pieces collecting dust

Many were kept for reserves and training though, they could be balanced by giving them terrible stats. But I get why it's not in the game.
Youve got an extra bracket in ai_will_do, and you need to move the bracket in allowed

A malformed token is a string of characters that is not a valid word for the programming language.
Copy a vanilla flag, and put your image over the top in gimp or photoshop

it tries to cover some of the major flaws in AI battle consideration by tampering with defines value
such as it tries to stay more aggressive when it can
and stop attacking if it knows it is at slight disadvantage
but it doesn't really make the AI up to human standard
of course

this comes down to system design instead
as only players train their troops properly before combat
unless you are German Reich AI,
so the situation is that in combat AI will always mismanage their troops and end up with lower combat ability in actuality
regardless of what you do, AI can barely reach half of what players can achieve in terms of combat stats
but because the mod forces the AI to cancel attack on red bubble, it also cancels out advantage that SOV AI has over GER AI, which is a long frontline where they have more manpower and is a Mass Assault nation
Mass Assault can literally tank red bubble and eventually push anyway by pinning down the enemies as the main push punch through German defense
if AI cancels the fight as red bubble appears they basically abandoned every strategical advantage that a pinning attack can achieve
The Eastern Front has a vastly different dynamic that AI should follow, especially for SOV
if they stop attacking only because they think players are stronger they will always end up losing the trade eventually because players can just do whatever they want with tank divisions and kill the AI, encircling them gradually
AI needs to tank red bubbles sometimes
I had i thing where ai would infinitely start the attack and cancel it immediately then start attacking again and repeat, is this the fault of the mod?

the Frontline does have its perk in some case, but Divisions is bad
Frontline AI mod works well between AI battleplan vs human battleplan at least
it just always puts itself at a L against human micro

in most case you won't really notice the AI being better with Frontline AI though it does make them a little smarter against weaker opponents
it also helps your own battleplan
I never understood why does the ai make a new template for divisions and not just update one template like the player does, is there a reason paradox hasn't changed this?
cuz if they change template directly every existing divisions change as well and that really hurts them sometimes as they can lose a lot of divisional xp
and suddenly strains their logistics
so they just gradually update the fielded troops to the desired template
Also don't understand when the ai creates a thousand armies to the point where some of them don't have a general

that can actually kill the AI

it was noticed during battle royale mod that if AI has too high main enemy front importantance they can legit just ignore any defense against some opponents
so in some cases Frontline AI tries to be more like humans
cuz humans also ignore other potential fronts in most case

since we don't have enough supporting codes for it
Also yeah the thing about the main front you said seems to be a major problem, i think this is why i saw ai abandon Frontlines

that's what happens when they place too much emphasis on the main front
this is extremely dangerous especially for the Soviet Union
another really concerning issue is that the AI can't actually run multiple division templates and under its meaning effectively
so it cannot field a lot of 6/0 that does nothing but sit at Finnish-Soviet border just in case Finland acts funny
it might in fact send the main offensive template to do garrison

even CA GER cannot keep up the tank production against my SOV AI

it dumps so much ic on tanks that most players struggle against it just because the tanks are so strong

well, for AI it might be, hard to say, but from actual field experiment AI does better with a combination of 21 and 30 or just 30
heavier templates aren't healthy for them
and in-between is kinda bad as well
some AI requires very tailored templates
such as Finland
who might live on 8w-10w on historical instead
SOV AI also does far better with 16/1, 17/1, 19/1, 20/1, 21/1 than any arty heavy divisions but that is due to mass assault HP optimization, more so
If we truly had the code to support it then AI should probably do 9/0 inf and never attack with them except to fill width
So they can dump most ic on tanks
CA GER AI can push players at Barb cuz it follows roughly the same principle by going not too expensive with inf just so it can do as many tank divs and sustain them as much as they can
Even if they misuse the tanks, AI can still be a menace for some time at the start of a war, if they do good tanks and a lot of them

it might confuse some of them though, like GER AI, for some unknown reasons,

i need help whenever i use nudge tool the game just crashes when i press something.
nudge is very unstable and i keep getting my game freaking crashed
i mean sometimes you may want to quickly change ideologies
but i think a mod like that would really screw with game mechanics
especially that some countries have giant trees dedicated to coups
soviets have a whole tree dedicated to quietly assasinating Stalin so you shouldn't do that with a spy mission

are there any modding tools? for a quick google search everything seems to be last updated in 2022 and "coming out soon" (i dont want to use even older builds as they are most likely completely outdated)
the tools that do exist are as finicky as doing it manually, would recommend just trying to understand how the game works, you would need to in those tools anyway

as for focus trees, i recommend putting big blocks to identify what is what
so put in between focuses like

NDefines.NAir.ACCIDENT_CHANCE_BASE doesn't work either, but various other ones formatted the same way in the same file do work. Confusion.
Huh, it does work if I directly change the value in the base game file (for testing), so it is supposed to be formatted differently from the others. Weird...
Update: I copied those defines to another lua within the same mod and it suddenly starts working for no apparent reason ๐ What is this
Solved it! Turns out I needed to change the load order by renaming the file so it is not the same (0) as the base game define, which would cause some but for odd reasons not all of the defines to be loaded before the base game ones and get superseded. I had assumed the load order was for within the mod but no it's universal. Changing 00_mydefines.lua to 01_mydefines.lua does the job.

Modding takes a fair bit of time, and map changes drastically expand that, map changes are also one of the more complex parts of modding hoi, and can be prone to breaking if not done correctly, it is best to start with a small area and work our, and preplan everything before starting work
As changing plans mid implementation can be disastrous and delay your work significantly

But they still manage to push into at least Estonia Latvia Lithuania Belarus and Ukraine so they can create ostland and Ukraine

So I created a custom map and wanted to make the buildings. So i clicked "Random All" and stated Valdidating the States. Then on one state the game just loaded forever so I looked how i coud fix it and I found a video where someone would fix this error. He added a single building and saved and then put it in the buildings.txt file. I did that but the game still crashed when I did that. Now I dont know what to do and how to fix this error.

You're not creating a new country, this is for an existing country (cze) right?
At the very top, the country id for czechoslovakia in the vanilla files is id = czech_focus whereas you call it id = czechoslovakia_focus
When in doubt, use WinMerge to compare your modded file with the original to make sure you didn't accidentally change something you shouldn't have.

That's actually a sad thing. I normally mod for Gates of Hell and the devs at Barbedwire Studios [BWS] are very active in their discord. Offering advice for modders and overall interacting with their community. It's refreshing to see and perhaps the modding community at HOI4 would be more active here if they were more involved.

That maybe true, but for those still learning how to navigate the files, it can be a daunting challenge. There's one project i've been trying to tackle for several years but haven't found a way to pull the right data for it and asking technical questions in the forums or here generally go unanswered.
It's not to say HOI4 devs are wrong. Each company has their own approach to their community.
I'll try again on this. A ship ledger is a project i've tried to pull off for a long time. It overlays a ledger on the air wings section of the history tab (air wings are displayed on all tabs, so it's redundant). The line items are modular, so modded ships can easily added in with a scrolling bar.
The issue is pulling the data to feed the ledger. The ships sunk data is pulled from the ship details on the left.
However, pride of the fleet, convoys sunk and aircraft kills have to be pulled from the naval battle summery screen and I haven't found an answer for accessing that. Nor am I sure it can be attributed to a specific ship. If anyone has expereince here, you input would be appreciated.
