If you really want to stray away from ai, what I would suggest is making a few ai icons and then coming up with your own design, I rarely use ai, if ever, but it can be helpful for inspiration without having to scroll through hundreds of images

It's some submod for KX (Kaiserredux) that brings back the old Goebbels path which was removed by the KX team at the request of Paradox because the original submod they had integrated it from didn't like it and also had some questionable content, like deporting all Jews to the Russian Far East

KX team replaced Gobbels with a more "sane" totalist leader who isn't just left wing Hitler and most of the unauthorized submods that bring it back get taken off the steam market

the irony of paradox's stance on nazism, you can glorify communism which has killed far more people than fascism ever did but nazism is a big no no
Paradox's policy is on how you represent things. Mods that glorify communist atrocities do (or at least should) get taken down from steam. But in general you can have evil regimes in mods, heck, you can play Nazis and USSR in base game, but you can't directly have mechanics that represent genocide as bringing in game benefits with no drawbacks, or anything that glorifies it
so the problem with the mod wasn't nazism it was because they added a mechanic that made genocide a positive outcome with no drawbacks
There are mods that include openly genocidal regimes and forced deportations and the like. CWIC lets you deport ethnic groups in the USSR if you play as Beria or play plenty of f-d up African warlords, you can engage in mass killings (represented through events) as Germany or Japan in TNO, and Great War Redux represents the historical genocides the Ottoman Empire committed

discord bans any account joining a server from an IP that an account got banned from
either just join the server on an alt account from somewhere else or use a VPN

The add_tech_bonus bracket should close after it opens
If you look after the tech bonus it doesn't get closed, so the building construction is included in that scope
That might be your issue
You can check if a brackets are structured properly if you click on one of the brackets and the other highlighted bracket is in the right spot
i tried working on the brackets, didn't work, now i used the code from a completely different focus, and that doesn't work either
and it's so insane that the game clearly says itself that a focus will add 3 building slots and factories somewhere

and it doesn't even say why

Whether these errors affect anything or just exist.
In debug mode a lot of things do not require you to restart the game
If you're not adding or removing stuff and you just modify stuff like the code then you do not have to restart
You do not have to worry about errors that are there at the start
Most of them are either related to visuals or are irrelevant and won't cause you problems

you need to modify common -> countries -> colors in order to get the desired color for your country
and if you did that and it's still the wrong color then perhaps you used a wrong hex code
try to change it and see if that does anything

Not really. You can use it to plan out focus trees, sure, but don’t rely on it for programming it
It's way more reliable and consistent to make the mod yourself

which made the game think that the ocean is a river
It does provide the code for you, you just have to edit it to include country tags, names, etc.

When I play with -debug I have an error.log with about 40-50 errors, I was told this is normal when making mods.

I have a little doubt, in case I upload a mod and then update it, to update it I have to go to the Launcher and go to create a new one and click on Steam mods, if I see the ID of my uploaded mod and i click to upload, this will overwrite and update the one in my workshop right?
Yes. But you wouldn't be hitting 'create new mod', you'd be hitting Select mod.

previously i set the wargoal to "annex everything" and then i added the "add_civil_war_target" clause

The error states line 2 error near equal sign, which I am perplexed by. Is it the bracket the game doesn't like? Can array defines not be modded?

The symptom is crash during launch, I believe because the game gave up on loading all defines when it detected one was wrong
Also yes there is a comma missing in line 17 but that didn't fix it
Oh never mind all of that, I found the problem. Apparently I'm not supposed to put any commas between entries at all despite the parent defines having them.

mac in a nutshell
A flag is, I suppose, like a boolean variable. If a flag is true, X will happen. If a flag is false, Y will happen.
But that requires the event/whatever to check for the flag of course in the triggers
Is a scope boolean yes, like anker said- If i'm not wrong you can set a flag by history file of a country, state and via focuses, events and decisions. A example foe an ai_facotr would be:

i don't want my germany to allign itself with romania and hungary but there is really no way to lock these 2 specifically when you choose the path
because you need to railway focus, and then i'd have to make it so you require either rhineland or oppose hitler
but you can't make it so a focus requires another focus and then needs one of 2 focuses
i thought the german focus tree will be easier to mod but everything is glued together
