Where Portugal is taking over the USA's place as the house of democracy.
Which Portugal is the world's superpower taking over Iberia and colonies in Africa, having a Portuguese Central Africa.
There was a war in the Atlantic where democratic countries fought agaisnt fascist countries, which was democracy win.
Although, the situation in the world got even worse after Portuguese economy started to go down, provoking the Atlantic Depression.
I'm still building up the history from scratch, everything was normal until 1900, where a lot of events has happened.

454-Israel.txt is a state already in HOI4. I have divided up the region and want to use it for my West Bank state.
So I renamed it to 454-West Bank.txt and put it in my states folder.
But it's saying there's a state ID conflict.

It's still reading the original hoi4 files, as well as the files in your mod
Since the name is different, the game doesn't detect that it's the same file and will load both

That's a localisation thing, you'll want to go to the hoi4 files and get the file named state_names in localisation/english
and copy that into your mod

I try and use the nudge tool to put these all in the Levant strategic region but it doesn't seem to work.
How do I assign the strategic regions in the code?
You can do it by hand
select a state in the strategic region you want then shift-click the state you want assigned to that region
save
I just clicked save and it did this.
And they no longer have strategic regions.

I don't know why Jerusalem is down there or why what I want to be called Ramallah is called West Bank but those are problems for later.

I want to change my country leader from generic to Trotsky, I took his portrait from Soviet files and assigned him to my country but instead of Trotsky all the time shows up some random guy

sorry i'm just new to this. I just found the folder and saw the generals name. I was wondering if i could just rename them to a historical general for example in germany but don't really know exactly how
the name in the character file isn't the one shown in game (demonstrated by the "_" instead of spaces), it instead links to a localisation line, in this case one of the characters files in the localisation folder
anyway to remove original country from history so i coul remove this errror
