Welp I'm back. We won this game but it was a rough one to begin with. As we all know everyone is adjusting to the changes of season 9, which I get cause I'm also adjusting.
I'm wondering what I could have done different, because halfway through the game the ram typed in chat that me and my other support were "intentionally grifing"
I felt like no matter how much healing I did even when amp'd with nade just wasnt enough to keep people up.
If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it <3
(I've included the after game scoreboard for reference)

i can see from the scoreboard that your damage is super low. since this season healing got a nerf you can be sure to deal damage, and throw nade onto the enemies ALOT more. 2k is very low.
I can't watch right now, but the scoreboard does tell enough to say your tank was smoking something inadvisable. You can't be intentionally griefing and come away with scores that outmatch your opponents so readily.
Silent's got the right idea with damage, but I would have to watch the replay to REALLY get an idea for what happened in that regard. Healing can feel like a nightmare if your team isn't playing cover enough right now.
i would also agree with the dmg. this season you HAVE to be doing dmg constantly
preach
Anytime I do damage I get told that Im griefing
he even reported me and my other supp for not healing him enough I didnt know what to do\
im currently play ana this season her healing is very low now. so i just opt for more dmg output instead, preventing any further dmg than healing what has already been done.
Remember that you can only control your keyboard. If you keep people alive, you're doing your job. They don't need to be 100% HP.
The rest of your job is creating and maintaining space, usually through damage.
dont listen to them. legit what helped me climb from gold to high plat was constantly doing dmg. and finding ways to secure kills
Like legit, I was trying to do poke and I was landing like 4 man nades
should I just mute match chat?
like text chat
Hm.
I'm generally fine telling people to mute all chats entirely. But it is preference, to some degree, and once you're at a certain level my advice changes to staying in voice chat even if you don't talk.
There is a level of expectation on support to track abilities and ults, sometimes, but it really isn't just your job, and that isn't relevant 'til much higher anyway.
Personally? I just mute people as they become a problem.
It's worth the loss of uptime for me to get peace of mind.
I cant really speak in vc comfortably anyways, cause I'm a woman.
and thats just opening up a whole can of worms when I do try to speak
I'm mostly nonverbal, so I get it.
thats valid. i dont normally speak until i have to. but yeah i mute if there is issues
Like I think I spoke one time in vc this season and said "they have shatter, visor and valk so care"
and I got told to go back to the kitchen 💀
That's pretty much the only kinda communication that's actually useful so you did great, just unfortunate you had someone pipe up and be toxic.
On Ana it can be useful to call out sleeps and nades, but I do not think it's necessary.
Communication's just another tool you can use.
do you think part of it is they didnt read the new dps passive?
cause when I told them about it they told me it wasnt real and I was making it up
prolly tbh
people dont read
i know some people like watching vods of higher tier players
do you want a code from one of my games?
yes, I love watching high elo vods to take notes on
