hmm most of these are super specific to north america, so i doubt many of these would be making it into the game in any sort of holiday-related update or anything

#

a lot of the things you suggested sound nice, but i can only really see them being added as part of the seasons & holidays system

#

i also don't think thanksgiving is that great of a holiday to like, celebrate in the game because of the colonial context, so these types of items would almost certainly not be themed around thanksgiving -- similarly to how the holiday tree is deliberately not themed after christmas, which is generally seen as a holiday with religious connotations

#

but yea, a lot of the foods you suggested would be lovely to have!! there's a big list of international foods on my to-do list that has some overlap with the stuff you suggested

#

the holiday tree has also been in the game since before the early access launch so i'm curious when you started playing @inner pewter?? did you play during the beta days?

#

although some of these things are quite intriguing. i just did some googling about figgy pudding (looks weird but also kinda good??) and "inflatable christmas decorations" (?? extremely cursed, what)

#

i've added some of your food suggestions to the big list of foods :)

I haven't played the game since last year. My memory's a little fuzzy.

aah ok! no worries haha, the festive tree was definitely in the game at that point though

But yeah, I didn't realize the Thanksgiving stuff wouldn't fly, given the holiday's dark history.

#

It still would be cute to see the ugly sweaters

well i also just don't have any personal connection to it so for me, it's easy to just.. not have it? but i understand that it might be rly important for some people

Same thing with the religious stuff.

but then also yea, the dark history makes me inclined to include some of the lovely cultural stuff like the nice foods, but not mention the context

#

(but that means the items you suggested would still make it into the game)

Kinda like how the holidays in animal crossing are given vague names

yea, same with the sims

Incase you're wondering, Inflatable christmas Decorations are something we have here in the states. You inflate them up like a bouncy castle.

but yea thanks for these suggestions!! i've already taken some of them over into my personal list :)

i think "tacky" might be a good word to describe what i think about them, but also to each their own ofc!!

#

but im thinking it might be cute to have the like, wooden reindeer & stuff that a lot of people have out on their yards around the winter holidays

#

im excited for when the game has seasons at some point & then it like, gets all snowy & stuff too, that'll be so lovely

Oh yeah, all the fun things the kid tinies could do in the snow..
