I've seen two video guides either not mentioning or not knowing and discarding the best way to extract 100% of power from ic2 Reactor.
Their issue is that they are rounding down and voiding the amount of Amps they are outputting.
So for Uranium Vac Nuke (43k) if you try to extract power with 2A LuV cable, you'll only gonna get one stable Amp of LuV voiding 25% of the power. If you connect 8A IV cable, you are going to get 5A of IV, voiding only 6% of the power.
However LuV cable is still the best and simplest due to hidden IC2 mechanic that reactor will split the output Voltage between all connections. So if you connect a single cable to a two sides the resulted Voltage is going to be ~21k and will nicely fit into only two LuV amp.
If you'll wanna do the same for IV, it's going to be roundup(43/8) = 6 sides, 6A, which would be much harder to handle.
The same thing also can and should be used to remove losses when outputting from Wind or other IC2-like generators.
Also I remembred you can dupe the power with transvector interfaces and apparently it works for Vac Nukes as well.... 😶 🔇
