#Outputting 100%+ of power from Vacuum Nukes / Wind generator (fixing reactor rounding error)

I've seen two video guides either not mentioning or not knowing and discarding the best way to extract 100% of power from ic2 Reactor.

Their issue is that they are rounding down and voiding the amount of Amps they are outputting.

So for Uranium Vac Nuke (43k) if you try to extract power with 2A LuV cable, you'll only gonna get one stable Amp of LuV voiding 25% of the power. If you connect 8A IV cable, you are going to get 5A of IV, voiding only 6% of the power.

However LuV cable is still the best and simplest due to hidden IC2 mechanic that reactor will split the output Voltage between all connections. So if you connect a single cable to a two sides the resulted Voltage is going to be ~21k and will nicely fit into only two LuV amp.

If you'll wanna do the same for IV, it's going to be roundup(43/8) = 6 sides, 6A, which would be much harder to handle.

The same thing also can and should be used to remove losses when outputting from Wind or other IC2-like generators.

Also I remembred you can dupe the power with transvector interfaces and apparently it works for Vac Nukes as well.... 😶 🔇

You can also use a cable that can contain the whole amp (a ZPM+ cable) then use transformers/ diodes / machine hulls to output full volts at reduced amps
A MOX reactor will output a steady 1A of "ZPM" voltage (~109k Eu) when connected to ZPM+ cable

#

Osmiridium or HSS-S are good cable choices for this

LuV transformer can be done with platline and naq nugget recipe, which is what I did for 36 mox reactors.
A bit pricy but is a viable option if you've got an overnight of naq nuggets

I always knew it because this is how you duped the expensive solars and windmills on old "high-tech" servers

#

But didn't expect it to work for the complex reactors

how do these interfaces work anyways?

and these faces count as not being connected to any cable, so if you connect one it just gives the same power as the other one?

Uselful for stuff like buses when you have early Multi-Assembler

The rainbow extrautil generator was doing like 5M RF or whatver per side.... so yea the same thing with it as well

But that one lacks even GUI

Cannot get my mox reactors to output to zpm voltage, tried cables, machine hulls and diodes

#

Works fine with high amperage EV cables though

reloaded the world and now its outputting into zpm cable no problem. IC2 jank

@strange crescent you know you shouldn't be sharing exploits?

Yea, I guess it's just an obviously unintended and cheaty mechanic like or even just a literal dupe... I knew it for solars and windmills but never had to use it kappa (they are quire expensive here), tho didn't expect it to work with Nukes.
