Storage area is coming along
can't believe i haven't thought of putting double chests in front of each other like that
that's lowk smart
I alternated regular and trapped chest- you can chisel a regular chest into a trapped one!!!
ohhhhhhhhh nice
i'll have to keep that in mind next time i build a storage room
thanks!
Also, change the range for "Inventory Bogo Sorter", in its config to make it so you can instadeposit stuff quicker
and increase your T Search range too :D
Okay so this will change your life! In your inventory, you can find a lil tiny arrow button at the top right. That's the Bogo Sorter button- it dumps items into matching chests. If you head to .minecraft/config/bogosorter.cfg and change the line I:dropoffRadius=4 to something higher, say 16, it'll make dumping items 10x faster!
wait so is it like an automatic sorter or do i have to open the chest i wanna put stuff in?
It automatically dumps items into chests that already have that item. It actually does that with any inventory- e.g. drawers, barrels, chests, etc.
As for "T search", that allows you to press the T key while hovering over an item, and it looks through all chests in range and highlights them bright hecking red so you can find the item. To increase the range of it, go to .minecraft/config/findit.cfg and change the line S:SearchRadius=16 to a higher number. Due to the size of my chest room, I have it set to 64. I also changed S:MaxResponseSize as well. Do keep in mind, these WILL cause a lil lag spike when using it if you have too much storage junk goin on!
I'll do a quick demo of what using those features looks like for ya in a sec
oh thank you so much! i'll check these out once discord loads them in
i dunno why discord takes 10 years to register a video playback
I record in fragmented MP4, which Discord sometimes take a bit to load. Especially since the recordings are 1080p@60, so the first one is like 100MB
ooh might also be my garbage internet
That might do it too
huh! that's so useful actually
i'm typically a player who'll separate machines into respective rooms so i don't think i'll lose those (...hopefully) but the inventory stuff is VERY handy
i dont have to run around putting one thing away at a time haha
didn't expect to get a crash course tonight but i really appreciate it!
No problem! I like helping! :D
oh my gosh i just tried it and its amazing
you have saved me so much time 😭
NO WAY it works for drawers too??? i've won the game
Okay, so I now have a server instead- so I'll be restarting, since my friend wanted to play with me!
So, on the server, I added Distant Horizons, and I pregenerated a 100 chunk radius around spawn- so things should be nice and pretty!
Nevermind, it causes some issues- just gonna run it clientside for now!
PREGANANANT?!?
Super off-topic- but I found out that certbot is a bit picky with updating my certs for pterodactyl wings, all of the rest of my certs on my homelab are auto-renewed, however, I had to make a custom cronjob for the pterodactyl wings cert due to it running on the same port (technically) as the base nginx webserver causing the renewal top fail since the port is in use, so for that renewal, I needed to set up a cronjob that stops the nginx service, renews certs, then restarts nginx. I could also fix this by manually doing maintenance but... meh.
what version of distant horizons did u use?
The GTNH custom fork, alpha13
it eats ram when chunks are pregenned
so I'll probably pregen the lods by loading the world on my local machine then uploading em maybe
The server has begun!!!
MUCH prettier basic smeltery automation
shaders?
Mhm! Specifically Continuity with the "Rainbow Outline" option
I meant what shaders r u using lol
Well ya got em! :p
