My first dungeon was horrendous and slow, but with as many torches as you’d like, armor, resistance II etc, I basically was able to sprint through the whole thing torching up everything

For multiblocks, there's an item that's pretty easy to make called the multiblock structure hologram projector.

If you right click a controller placed in the world, it will show ghosts of where to place each block, and it's very configurable to make it place things for you.

If you can afford it, spam high pressure solars. You will definitely be able to afford them once you get to LV, because in LV you unlock twilight forest, and biggest problem with solar boilers isnt steel, its silver. I'd still suggest investing into regular boilers, because 360 steam/s you get with three low pressure solars isnt going to cut it, at least, not without a better steam buffer

You don't need to extract every single bit of material from your ores, unless its rare enough to be worth doing it. I certainly wouldnt care about extracting extra sulfur from pyrite, or extra sulfur from sulfur

Automating your coke ovens will help with steam progression and steel production

not sure which pipes you use to transfer stuff

Any pipe that can handle fluids (such as wood or bronze) and any pipe that can handle items (usually tin)

You can go about it in two ways

You can either use a tinker's faucet to extract the creosote, if you give it a redstone pulse with a redstone clock, and have a pipe connected to the underside of said faucet

Or, you can use an LV pump set to extract with a screwdriver

With item output, a hopper connected to a tin item pipe will work

Or a tin item pipe with an LV conveyor, also set to extract

The pump and conveyor methods are more expensive on resources, but can decrease the needed footprint for scaling in the future

I would recommend making more BBFs, steel is going to be a major bottleneck in LV, and while you can absolutely survive off of just two, most build at least four. Also, you can wallshare your BBFs to save up on firebricks.

Other project to work on could be getting terrawart, putting more torches around your base to prevent mob spawns, working on a base some more (you will need a roofed area for your electrical machines, or else they will explode when it will start to rain), or doing more prospecting or/and mining

I think there are still ways to get infusion before hv, but they are kind of convoluted iirc, so that time is better spent progressing further

iirc i seen a merged pr that added alternative recipe that lets you do infusion in mv if you invested into magic progression

Thaum is still pretty good even without infusion, thirsty tank solves all your water problems until reservoir hatch in EV, you can dupe rare materials such as gallium and tantalum from random garbage, void metal is a good material, etc

Yes, most all the relevant LV machines are extremely worth it because the efficiency bonus from crafting to machine is insane. For wires and plates especially, wire mill and bending machine are definitely things you should target first.

Once you’ve got those two you can start looking at the assembler etc.

People already said it, but a lot of LV machines are not only worth it, but are necessary. For example, you will not be making coils for your EBF without an assembler.

Assembler in particular not only unlocks recipes that are vastly superior to their handcrafted variants (for example, making vacuum tubes will let you save a lot of copper and steel, compared to if you made them in a crafting table), but also unlock new recipes, such as, drum roll, twilight forest portal activator

Which will let you start on thaum and botania if you'd like and gives you access to easy nickel and silver.

Some LV machines are a let down (LV extruder can help you with, say, tin and rubber parts, but the thing you'd really want it to help you with are steel rods, and that is an MV recipe), and some are straight up worthless 99% of the time (scanner, printer)
