but i dont think theres gonna be any amazing share
the best i can see is flip upside down and share bottom few layers
and that also might not work bc there are blocks inside the modules
you arent meant to build more than one anyway
doesn't mean you can't
cookin
I love bramlinr.energy_A
epic boss fail
is it just me or the arrow is not centered in both directions
It’s a reference to a Feynman diagram
Sick
I’m no astrophysicist, but isn’t it oriented/used incorrectly?
It’s a reference not an exact diagram
I was wrong anyway, that is a correct diagram showing a particle being electrically charged
It just feels weird to have an arrow pointing from an output when 99% of GUI arrows point in the flow of material movement
It is correct as it is
The backwards arrows represent antiparticles
It is animated like all the other progeess bars from left to right, so when its actually in motion in game it doesnt look too odd
Fair point I didn’t think of that. Love the idea and how it looks so far btw
It has already successfully taught someone a little bit of physics
Mission accomplished
my texture is just that goated
Time to depricate it

Greg would be the best ever if this becomes reality
Damn this multi is much further along in development than i thought
Any chance of it coming with 2.9
I didn't even know that Tooj was a contributor, good shit
it was my idea
i dunno, maybe? needs review still
I vaguely remember you mentioning in one of your videos that you have a background in particle physics or something, right?
Maybe after i get a bit deeper into the pack myself so i have a better idea of its late game design i might try to leverage my background in quantum computing to help rework quantum computers or something idk
But i would also like to collaborate at some point
yeah, but my expertise is in condensed matter theory. im more passionate about particle though
All physics is cool af ngl
I just saw this and didn't really read through all of it (or the design document), but its cool to see machines like this (I'm working for one of the LHC experiments). I was always secretly thinking of getting into modding to make a research mechanic involving particle detectors and an accelerator, but I guess your idea are more easily integrated into gameplay 😄
Tbh you could! The particle beam packets are very similar to data packets from QC/research station
Could be a fun minigame to "discover" new particles or something
i actually had an idea for the uncertainty resolver that made the player estimate the eigen values of a particle in a box or some other animated wave simulation
Diagonalize this matrix to solve

What is it with devs with theoretical physics backgrounds who love clocking out of work and going home to do more work in the block game
If you're an academic it means you truly love whatever you're studying because you would otherwise have 10 better ways to utilize your skills for an easier and better paying job. And if you have a true passion about something you don't mind doing it in your free time as well usually
Hell, that's precisely why researchers are underpayed and so are jobs like game developers. You get exploited because those who pay you know that you like your job enough to work for less than your worth
Bc i dont do physics for job anymore and i miss it but i also like money
congrats!!! :)
jarvis, nuke this AOI… we’re going stable

Please make the tooltip readable inside the controller, my gui scale is gonna eat half the text
thats probably gonna be the top feedback item once ppl get to testing it
Im able to see the future, what more can I say
close ?
yeah, you can
