So you probably found the witch overwold spawner.

You can make a zombie type spawned with a iron spike at the bottom so they get killed and you don't have to deal with vanance or anything.

Now take the chain armour and macerate it, then use the thinkers smeltery to turn it into ingots.

You also get a ton of sticks, redstone, and gold and iron armour so ton of those resources as well.

Gold and iron can be smelted straight into smeltery with an infinite signal you can automate pouring them.

Plus enchantinng books.

Sadly claim chunk doesn't keep the spawned spawning so you actually be near it sadly.

This could have the chance of being higher steel per hour than the BBF but I don't believe that will happen due the chance of dropping

You can use cursed earth from extra utilities under the spawners for mob spawning without player

better tip to finding spawners is the witch ruins building. It spwns wit hthe dropper and next to it 2 witch spawners. With this (2 spawners) you can get steel way faster than like 4 bbfs (i think someone said) and its rly healpfull until atleast hv. So a witch spawner is a betetr way to go. (i think imma make a tutorial vid on hopw to do it maybe later today, or some time in the future)

You can put cursed earth underneath spawners to make them work while chunkloaded (im not sure of the specifics)

The nooks seem to block them while in the water. Do I just leave two full blocks (one water one above) at the bottom to prevent them catching on the nooks?

New question. How would you recommend automating getting chain into the macerator? Filing cabinet doesn't work great as once it's empty junk fills it. Works for a time. Are there any filters in steam age?

I've decided to just let the armor pile up in filing cabinets and I occasionally just come by and empty them into the grinder. It works until I get item filters which won't be too long
