#Benzene and Nitrobenzene

Since there surprisingly didn't seem to be an existing benzene flowchart, I made one that covers the entire progression of the fuel, from when it first becomes available in MV up to Nitrobenzene and the multis unlocked in IV. Note this is for making power; if you want these chemicals for another purpose, this flowchart might not be optimal.

As mentioned, you need lots of wood for benzene, and lots of oxygen and some sulfur for nitrobenzene. The main bottlenecks are nitrogen (pre-multi), Pyros (pre-ICO), fluid extraction (pre-multi), distilling Wood Tar, and making Nitric Acid.

Thanks to C0bra for the templates!

I've found that making sulfuric acid using the chem plant and algae farm works pretty well. Idk if it's enough for this loop but it does mean you won't have to automate sulfur.

i think that'd be viable as well yeah, though i've never tried it personally; probably worth looking at adding if i update the flowchart

would highly recommend nether air for sulfuric acid, you get some nitric oxide you can use for nitric acid as well but not nearly as much

Some of this flow chart is still incorrect and needs tweaking to newer versions

i don't think anything really meaningful changed? there's new sources of some stuff, the ico recipe was just multiplied, and ico parallel changes

#

i'll update it soonish now that 2.8.2 is out though

seems to be the same?

huh...

#

when i set mine up last week i distinctly recall there being a difference

#

what that diff is is beyond me though

2.8 update
changes: new ICO recipe, new ICO parallels, improved list of sulfur sources

This is really good. You can also condense the air to get byproducts passively which can be worthwhile for your EBFs and some other processes like Argon and Helium. iirc it's also more power efficient to centrifuge liquid air than gaseous air.

thank you for this, really appreciate it, is there a way to figure out how much benzene we are producing or is this an eye test of if the benzene suer tank is draining, thanks again!
