#Loot Games can be found with Ore Finder Wand

there isn't a specific channel. Not every tip here is going to be hyperapplicable to every possible use case
a tip being good for most use cases and not useful for some does not render it a "shit tip"
chances are you wont find any by using the wand. With the map you will know where every lootgame in the area is before going for the gravel search
mmnope, you're almost certain to find a lootgame while just walking around looking for gravel
that's how i found a lot of mine
odds are probably >99% you find at least one
but i still have to open the map and manually find all those blocks right
costs me time
I am going to sleep now. I will be able to continue in around 9 hours

You wont be able to find a first lootgame with the wand. Either pure luck, or installing the map. If you try to claim that this tip was not about searching for lootgames, but about what lootgames are, then it is a shitty tip as well. Tells nothing about the lootgame sound hint to locate it.
And the tip unironically offers to dig chunks down to find the first lootgame. Mindless digging with a miniscule chance to find the first game
And you would have to use the map to find the first one. Unless you found one randomly by luck, which is not very probably, especially as you say "as a player who doesnt know what the lootgames are and just wants to find one", as you claimed the tip was done for
I forgot the quest book mentioned the ore finder wand supports those dungeon blocks and boy is that a helpful tip! Thanks!
yes, it is reasonable to expect a player to find one lootgmae on their own before they start learning about them and where to find them. That is what happened with me.
the loot games even have features to aid with this
the whispering noises that you can hear at a significant distance
and between the stairways that sometimes generate on the surface, and the fact that they're so common, it is pretty likely that someone will stumble into at least one while mining
so its perfectly reasonable to expect a player to find one on their own, start researching them, and then come across this tip
if a player doesn't even know what a loot game is, of course they're not going to install a mod and fuck about with configurations and search a map and all that hassle for something they don't even know about
I found my first one by chance with the entrance in the wall of a mountain.. I couldn't get in because my pickaxe wasn't high enough level yet
exactly
and then the quest book even helpfully tells you a ore finder can be used for it
I probably read it and then forgot it immediately after. Hence reading the helpful tip here again :)
You can just break it by hand tho
... this is another handy tip!
yeah, that's helpful! Nice!
And the cracked/broken blocks are a lower mining level, so if you go on top and find one, it's the easiest way to break through
I want to say I've learned for next time, but let's first try and complete this run in my life time, thanks for the swell tips without the need to resort to cheating! :)
honestly the idea of completing multiple runs is weird to me
if i complete this run it'll be in literal years
I think for singleplayers, completing one run to gate is a huge achievement, but if you've set yourself a goal like t8 rocket or dtpf or smth like that, it's likely you'll try again with either a more efficient playthrough, a challenge, or a farther goal
Yeah, I've been toiling away for a bit over three months and am now floating around in MV, and then I open the quest book and weep. I do enjoy the length it takes, and how progression feels amazing. Just need the right mindset to not feel like you have to "rush"
Rushing in gtnh is punishing if you don't quite know what you need once you reach, let's say, ae, yea
My first goal is launching a rocket, and we'll see from there what goal I put next. Slightly off topic of these amazing tips though! ;)
Tbf, this tip is like, 500 msgs deep into offtopic
oh yes, very much so
that's a big debate trying to scroll to the top
Here you go, back to top
Really? I wasted so many torches on roguelike dungeons...
why did it respond to you im so sorry
Meant to respond to @celest meadow on the topic of peaceful being considered legal
hey gurl, I want to get stargate role fairly and I love this tip, can you stop raining on our parade so I can read the damn comments
Its both a half year old thread and im prohibited to argue with people by admins
sorry
thank god
what I find impressive is that you dedicated 2+ months of your free time to arguing with someone purely about semantics, seems like dude lived in your head rent free for a while lol
