#PBI and Phthalic Acid

Passive PBI requires some unusual items:

  • Chrome Dust: You can either use the Ruby Bee though ruby juice or Chrome Bee
  • Zinc Dust: Your only option for passive zinc is the Zinc Bee and galvania, but the recipe time and uum cost isn't worth it.
  • Copper Dust: You can use either the Copper Bee or one of the many IC2 copper crops: Coppon, Cyprium, and Copper Oreberry
  • Saltpeter: You can use either the Salt Bee or Salty Root to produce it.

As for the fluids:

  • Ammonia: It's slow to produce, having multiple LCRs making it passively at all times is probably a good idea
  • Nitric Acid: The reason why you need so much ammonia for this line.
  • Phthalic Acid: If you plan on doing bees, you'll want this passive anyway, It's included in this chart in case you don't have it setup already.
  • Sulfuric Acid: It's just sulfur and oxygen, if you have Nether Stonelilies or Sulfur Bee already setup, you'll be fine on sulfur.
  • Oxygen: You need quite a lot of it thanks to phthalic acid. Sweed and Sugar Beets are a good way to produce sugar which turns into oxygen.

Recycling the hydrochloric acid is optional if you are pumping chlorobenzene from mars or if you can afford to waste a bit of chlorine and hydrogen.

You can open this image with on draw.io/diagrams.net to make some changes to the actual diagram if it ever needs to be updated.

Aaaah I did this line manually! Having this would have spared me some hours of designing the line. Keep up the good work!!!

#

(btw I love how clean these look)

Your platline flowchart was literally my companion for months

welp i just noticed i forgot to label the diluted sulfuric acid outputs and the hydrogen output, i'll update the chart later

Added the missing outputs

You can also make Phthalic acid using charcoal with coal tar iirc. If you make the benzene and dimethylbenzen you likely have an excess of charcoal (At least I do with my nitrobenzene setup) and can take that route instead.

Lithium also comes from clay too, which if I remember most usually do something with clay to get passive aluminium. It's also good for lithium for LV/MV/HV batteries.

chilly crest
#

ah, i've never really used clay for much since red stonelily just showers me in alu

#

yep just electrolyze clay for some lithium nice

I assume you mention bees/crops in addition to mining/miners

ah ok

The chart looks good, but fyi the pumpable part from mars is dichlorobenzene iirc not regular chlorobenzene

vague pulsar
#

did they change it concern

chilly crest

¯_(ツ)_/¯

one of those was di

mars only has salt water and chlorobenzene

vague pulsar

Oh, dichlorobenzene is used for PPS

#

thatás the one i got confused about

since you dont need much chrome for hte PBI line due to the large multiplyer (2 to 11) , you can probably get away with centrifuging redstone dust and electrolyzing the ruby. Redstone you can automated using block breakers and redlon.

#

and if you need more, redlon goes in the EIG

#

also a good supplemental source of sulfur and iron through the pyrite

And for those averse to IC2 crop breeding on top of bee breeding you can get your copper from lava centrifuging and then boom you're fully renewable

Most glowing crops are placable directly on cropsticks

Exactly
