Alter Tip. USE YOUR HEAD! (literaly)

Thanks to me lurking on the old FTB wiki for alter data I found that Player heads are pretty powerful on alter

while im not sure how you get them in GTNH originaly I DO recall something when I was playing off-pack and this should be applied in-pack unless they removed it

when using the player head on the alter, your stats will boost greatly, Refer to the FTB enty on the Alter for more information)

You can get a player head with Botania in one of 3 ways

1. using your actual head: When drinking a Mana in a Bottle random events happen, one of them happens to "decapitate" you, both dropping your player head and your lifeforce (can be fatal if not at full 20 HP)

2. Crafting the (spoiler) ||Secret Crafting Recipe for making Vaskii's player head by filling a Petal Apothecary with pink flower petals||

3. Create a player head by using a runic alter recipie: this requires a nametag but the contents of the nametag will pull the current skin of the player that the nametag is named with

my friend and i have like a stack of each of our heads

But at the same time somehow relatable

our base is underground

and we used to have our nether portal directly above our base

uncovered/unprotected

and boss pigmen spawn unreasonably often in nether portals btw lmao

so we accidentally got like 10 of them in our base

and we had to punch them to death

they never lost agro (we tried multiple times)
