or would there be better mfx pedals in the same price range?
mostly want to play pop, rock, and some of their subgenres.
I want to use it for playing/recording in my room and some small live playing at school, church and etc.
For that money - even today - it's one of the best deals on the market. It's not the newest FX Unit, but tone-wise, it punches way above it's weight-class.
Can't go wrong with it.
alright thanks!
No worries. 👍
valeton gp200lt if you dont need a pedal. Otherwise the nux is still pretty good
The Valeton GP200 is more expensive, has a pedal - just like the MG-30, and supports NAM profiles, but also it's more expensive, and out of the box is not as responsive. The MG-30 sounds and acts more like a traditional amp. Tone-wise it sounds more like the real thing rather than modeled. Of course you can do a lot with EQ, but having tried both extensively, for tone I'd always choose the MG-30 in terms of tone-cost-performance ratio.
the gp200lt does not, please read properly before criticising.
and it is also cheaper than the gp200
In that case, for the money, it would be better just to get the MG-30, since other than NAM profiles, it offers more for less.
Don't get me wrong, I like Valeton - they're a very good comapny for effects units, but pound for pound the MG-30 is a better deal at that price point.
