What interface can you get with 55 bucks?
55 Dollars (assuming you mean US) is not a lot. The only thing that comes to mind which is even remotely close to that is the Sonicake Pocketmaster, which does act as an interface as well.
It's a tiny multiFX/modeler unit you can get for around 60 US Dollars.
For the price is not, bad, but if I were you, I'd save up some money and get something a bit better in terms of sound/features/usability.
But for about 60 bucks, it's not a bad unit and will do just about everything you'd want for that price range.
yes for 55$ you will get an infinitely better experience with the cheapest behringer and an amp simp
Don't know much about behringer but yeah sure it will be better
Dolphin is also on that price range apparently
But if you save like another 30-40 bucks you can get a uses focusrite
Add 15$ for cheap IEMs if you don't have headphones yet
you have to use asio4all but thats about it
works perfectly fine for the price
Why wouldn't you use asio4all?
because with focusrite and ua it comes with their own panel
What
I've been using asio4all
The fuck
How do i not know this
Can you send link
Gotcha tysm
This is just controls?
It should be a whole custom ASIO driver
different asio driver and controls for sample rate, bit rate
wdym you just uninstall asio4all and click download
I don't have a focusrite but usually you install the drivers and then you can select their ASIO driver whereever you're asked to select a driver
Do i download the legacy or just the focusrite control @paper elm
which one do you have
Focusrite 3rd gen solo
the control one
"Legacy" is normally a synonym for "old/outdated version"
wdym
It comes with 2 drives, which one do i use?
i mean do you have it plugged into thunderbolt or usb lol
I swear it was 5ms before idk why it's so high now that i checked it
My focusrite control Legit just stopped working and not detecting device anymore @paper elm
broo wdym stopped working what am i supposed to do about that
clearly you did something cause tech doesnt stop out of the blue
No
The app
how old is your pc
so then just replug the focusrite
Ain't working
restart the app
Not working still but thanks anyway, i did lower my buffer size to 160 tho @paper elm
Jeez
You're telling me I've been using asio4all for absolutely no fucking reason...
mine works to 64 with no crackling
I'll try to push it and see how it'll sound
If i can get to 64 without crackling that'll be great
Tho tbh latency isn't a problem that I've noticed, apparently
What's ur cpu @paper elm
This is shit
it might genuinely just be ur cpu
get a better cpu
maybe a i5 10th gen if ur motherboard supports, lmk what cpu u have rn
I have i3 11th
And i have a laptop so that's not an option
no its fine for the price
recommend him an amp for 50$ otherwise
5600x
You can get interfaces for a bit more like the m-audio that are just better
Only slightly higher in rating than my cpu, apparently
So i should be able to push it to 64 without problems
As long as I don't stack too much plugins
@onyx tulip u can get the scarlet solo for 70 bucks and u can get it to have nearly 0 noticeable input delay
Is the scarlet solo a better option or Boss Katana Mini?
Those are two different things
Scarlett is an interface ...katana mini is an amp
In terms of versatility a Scarlett is way better
Gotcha
no it's definitely not the same thing
I never said it was
slightly higher
it's like a 3x difference
2 core cpu with 15 watts vs 6 core 65 watts
scarlet
naw
urs is an i3
he proly has a ryzen 5
which is equivalent to something like an i5
specifically like 13th gen i5
i3 is dogshit
its not about the cpu family, the generation matters more
an i3 14100 will destroy an i5 9600
same goes if you have an i7 4790
doesnt help that its a laptop for an already entry line cpu
thats true but like if we were talking in the same generation
i3 is not great for music recording from experience
i used to have a 13th gen i3
horrendous
it was okay for gaming but producing no
with i5 - i9 you can run more plugins at the same time sooo much bnetter
