both perform well but they have different feels
if u want to be able to change tunings get the snakebyte if u want to be able to use a trem but not change tunings get the KH
the KH has a gloss neck if it is the version w sparkle on it and the snakebyte is satin finish
the KH is 25.5 scale w vol vol tone layout and the snakebyte is 24.75 w vol vol layout
both have the same neck profile and a 3 way
i have another guitar if i ever wanna change tunings but usually i play on standard anyways
so it just goes down to what they look like?
what they look like if u want a tone knob and if u like 24.75 or 25.5 scale length
okay
thanks
i think il settle with the purple sparkle although i really want the snakebyte lol
the snakebyte played nice when i played it but it wasnt quite my thing
i prefer a regular explorer
the thing is i like the color of the sparkle more but i really wanna try out the explorer shape
i love regular 80s style explorers
i already have a superstrat
its really tough lol
in any case it will be an upgrade from my 300$ guitar
u could get 1 step down of the kh and get a harley benton ex 84 emg
ive heard issues about harley benton
setups
the cheap cheap ones yea the mid and higher end ones no
atleast the hard tail ones
so like im trying to play more lead but i love rythm aswell so both guitars stick out to me
is the floyd worth it? ive never
tried one
it realy depends what u want if it is worth it
u should try to get to a store and just try something with a floyd
id feel awkward walking into a store to just try out their floyd and leave lol
especially local stores
just sit down play the guitar for 20 mins
i have kind of tried one out but it had no whammy bar
grab a strap or a pair of strings while u are there
so like i kinda messed around with it with the palm of my hand
u need to try one w a bar to know if u like it
ik personally my next guitar is either going to have a floyd or be a 12 string
ooo nice
i mean the floyd tbh is not really that necessary now that i think about it
i would also say try an explorer in a store if u can to see if u like the shape
cant i just set up my guitar with no floyd and a whammy bar to just be floating?
theres not a single explorer where i live
not one
ive went to every store
it took a while for me to fine one in a store
but most ppl say its a comfortable shape so
yea it is comfy
can i make my normal guitar floating?
but playing with the screws
i heard smth about it but idk what would happen to the tuning lol
yes most trems but it wont have the same range in the up direction as a floyd but will work enough to do some things
and how bad would the tuning get
if i use it
im using a jackson dinky for reference lol
that depends on how well u set it up and how bad of a nut is on the guitar
alright
do u use ur trem currently
yeah
is the tuning stability decent
when i first got my guitar
i used it
and the nut literally
popped off
i glued it back in and now the tuning is really stable
idk if that has anyth to do with what i did
so if it is stable using the trem it will still be stable if u float it
u may have to pull up slightly after a hard down to get it fully back in tune tho
alright

In this step-by-step tutorial, Nashville guitar tech John LeVan demonstrates how to “float” a two-post Stratocaster tremolo so it can both lower and raise the strings’ pitch.
If your Strat-style guitar’s vibrato system has a hardtail setup or the whammy bar is currently configured to s...
id still say consider checking out the harley benton ex 84 emg if u are unsure
but wdym like get a cheaper kh?
is there a cheaper purple sparkle i dont get it
because the other models look exactly like my superstrat
are u in the US?
nope
third world country
literally nothing available here
i have to import
so u wouldnt be able to get a used one then
nah no chance
honestly ur idea isnt bad at all but i think il settle for just one new one
im trying to figure out if i want a floyd or not rn lol
i adore the explorer shape but i also like to play lead
is ur current guitar 22 or 24 fret
24
which is why im leaning to the snakebyte now
😭
do u use the last 2 alot
explorers have really nice upper fret access
ok i have a question tho
will the sound be like a good chunk better?
obv it will but will it be noticeable
ur amp will make more of a difference then the guitar in terms of sound
well for reference i have the katana
i mostly care for comfiness here but i do wnat an improved sound that i can notice atleast
the guitar wont give u a super big sound difference
then why are ppl so specific over guitar models if the sound difference is the amp
its about how it feels and looks and also the components
do they just care that much about that 15% sound from the guitar to get a specific sound?
also there are some differences in pickups but a non music person wont notice it
well u said u played teh snakebyte right? is it smooth to play?
also what about standing does it like stay in place?
yea i have played it it does stay in place i havent tried it standing byt yes it does stay in place standing
it does play smoothly
and its smooth to play?
alright
the neck finish just isnt my prefered finish
alright got it
i think il go with the snakebyte then since if the sound really isnt that different and i already have a superstrat
with 24 frets
with me rn i have a guitar w the emg jh set which is in the snake byte and also a katana go
do u like the pickups?
for this guitar and what i use it for yea
wait i can always just mod my old guitar no? like replace electronics
yea u can
well obviously i play mostly metallica so its probably the best sound im looking for
yeah i mean honestly i can just get the snakebyte and buy the emg pickups later on to mod my superstrat
yea i have 2 guitars w emgs and 1 guitar w semour duncan invader based pickups
is that like a good plan?
i play alot of metallica stuff
