Hey guys I'm a beginner guitar player that was looking to emulate the sound that Slayer had in Raining Blood, but I feel so in over my head not just for finding this tone but also trying to understand how to navigate the fundamentals of understanding tone creation. I know there is YEARS of equipment emulation this MX5 probably covers and its like opening my brain to a new library. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! :D

treat it like a real rig ...
slayer probably used some hotrodded marschall JCM800 with either v30 or T75 speakers .... so emulate that with the unit
So just use what does it mean to be hotrodded?
And thank you for the guidence Ill take a look after Im done with studying :D
hotrodded is usually modified to have more gain
so if the MX5 has some sort of JCM800 model (which it undoubtedly has) ... put a boost in front
maybe an eq in front of the amp to scoop out some mids
Can't believe how well this album has aged, still sounds like a WW2 horror movie that's absolutely relentless.
It was really cool for Two Notes to send out the Torpedo Captor X for me to try out and share with you all. It's already passed the test as a tool of necessity for this series.
