Hey guys so I've been playing for about 8 months now and I am looking to buy a new guitar. Currently I have a strat clone from a company called Austin. It was about $200 and Ive been noticing some issues with it. For example my A string makes a snare like sound when played decently hard, also the neck pickup is completely screwed up because there is a ton of popping when it is in use. I don't really know what to look for when buying guitars as I haven't spent much time looking into specs. If anyone could give me some reccomendations on what guitars would fit my requirements that would be amazing. Here is what I am looking for:

Budget: $700-$800
Type: Electric
Brand: Anything really(I am interested in the floyd rose tremelo bar tho)
Genre: I mainly play metal/rock but bounce around sometimes

I also have a boss katana mk2 if that makes any impact on the reccomendations. Thank you in advance.

The floyd rose tremelo is not a solid thing. If there are better options than having one I will glady do that

How much do u plan on changing tunings

I mean currently I play a lot of metallica which is all e standard, but I might occasionally go to drop d in the future idk

Its a pain in the ass to change tunings so I just typically dont do it

To down tune w a Floyd u have to unlock the nut down tune adjust bridge tension then relock the nut

It is alittle bit more when u want to do a setup but it isn’t bad

Floyd’s can be a pain for beginners tho

I like blue, cyan, and some shades of red

I do like black but I dont like how its fully solid black metallic finish

They have the look of metal, but it also looks kinda like it could be used for blues or jazz

U will have to retune like 3x when switching tunings from like e to Eb bc it is floating but to drop d u just retune

But in return u get the floating trem

When u do a string change remember to put something under the trem

It isn’t any harder on this the only difference is u gota put something under the trem and u gota retune afew times b4 it is in tune

7.25": 0.012"
9.5" to 12": 0.010"
15" to 17": 0.008"
