#What amp should I buy

What's your budget ?
Something like a Nux mighty 20 or mighty 40 would work ...depending on the genre you want
Can't go wrong with the Nux mentioend abvoe.
The Boss Katana Mini X is also a decent choice for beginners.
Or go for a good headphone amp and have your choice of around 15-20 amps (sims). Much more versatile with extras you won't get in a beginner amp.
like 2-300
And genre / style ?
Doesn't really matter cause most modeling amps can do about anything
like blink182, MCR or maximum the horomone
Should not be a problem for any modern modeling amp
The Mooer SD30 is also a good option within your price range
If you can order at Thomann, they have all of these
yeah not really
200$ item 100$ shipping
I'll look around the local shops
Where you at then ?

I read this is Nigeria falls at first
@brave stump also depends on whether you’re comfortable playing through headphones.
IK Multimedia just came out with the ToneX Plug, which would give you hundreds of amps and effects.
It’s around 150 dollars.
Thats perfect actually
I want to be able to play late at night when my family is asleep
@brave stump Ah. Perfect.
Yeah it’s a device where you can load amps / cabs / effects on the unit via a computer. (Only the first time, or when you want to change amps that are not on the unit already. I think there’s 30 preset slots)
Then you just plug the unit into your guitar, plug headphones into the unit and you can play anywhere, anytime without disturbing anyone.
@brave stump Another option for headphone modelers is the NUX Mighty Plug Pro.
It's about half the price (around 85 Dollars), has of course fewer amps and effects, but is still a VERY capable unit, which will allow you to do anything you want.
Also comes with a metronome, drum machine, tuner, jam tracks, TRRS output, so you can record your guitar signal and voice at the same time, if you have a headset with a mic attached.
It also - like all modelers nowadays - has a built-in interface, so you can connect to a computer and record into a DAW directly.
I personally have this one and it's a great unit for practice and recording.
Ok ty I'll look into both of these
👍
there's also a new one from IK multimedia with the Tonex software baked in ... very nice ...bit more expensive but insanely versatile
That's the one I mentioned above. The Tone X Plug.
