Any thoughts on the yamaha pacifica 212v?

hey there i heard pacificas are really good for the money and this one really caught my eye. what i wanna ask is there usually some adjustments involved after buying or its usually in playable condition. (what i mean by adjustments in the intonation or action)

yamaha's usually come setup quite well

and are pretty much ready to play besides tuning maybe

Open box —> tune —-> plug in —> play

Nothing else has to be done really

And even plugging in is kinda optional it still works without that it just won’t have the electric sound

pacificas are good, but the main difference between a 112 and a 212 is the flamed maple top

if you wanted something fairly unique with some more significant upgrades for little difference in price have a look at the 311H

Oh that looks sick I might go for that actually as it has a p90 in the neck which is a nice touch

You'd lose the tremolo arm but maybe you won't miss one at all anyway. It's a great guitar.

Is there a noticeable difference?

You can't wiggle the notes around like some players do but you get way better tuning stability

It's only a negative if you already know you're going to use it, actually I removed the tremolo on my guitars lol

I also noticed it does not have a whammy bar which i might be interested in

Do you know any other guitars at this price range? Preferably with a whammy bar

The pacifica 212 is good, or if you're very lucky you could find a used 512 or a 611 with a whammy bar too. Maybe a squier classic vibe which is a boring old strat. Or a Sire S5, although the version with a humbucker is a bit more expensive

There could be some adjustments needed no matter what you buy though, it's definitely possible
