#A good guitar for j-rock and metal

Any guitar can do this ... Your budget is more important
And what do you already have in the sense of amp / pedals / etc ?
Yamaha 612 katana mkII 50watt and a distortion pedal
I don't see a problem either ...maybe a hardware/pedal compressor ...but I bet the Katana has that as well
@half garnet why not use what you have ... Must be a lot of presets for those styles to be found online
I want a another guitar.
That is well with those aswell
Also maybe less hum's could be better
Something H-H
Guitar / pickups don't matter that much in general when it comes to tone ..the magic is in the amp and speaker
hope yall can use this.
Amp is surely magical
But pickups do matter man
😭
Thanks for sharing
It's almost 7 months
And i still havent played with these digital stuff
I tried and failed and left it
Maybe if you have singlecoils vs humbuckers
And for output
Tone ...not so much
Sg and lespauls.
But
People always have complains
About guitars
Making me get a lot more confused
That's a you thing ... There's tons of information at your fingertips but the saying goes : he who can read but chooses not ton has ko advantage over those who can't
A revstar is like yamaha's idea of a Les paul / SG
For Jrock I'd go for more of a tele actually
No one helped me
I don't really know what's usual for Jrock
Maybe something like the Schecter PT since it is HH
Learn to help yourself kid ... That's how you get from A to B faster
Doesnt single coils literally make dirty noise way more
When they are distorted
Yes ...that's why I said a modern tele with HH like the Schecter PT
I am 18
Faster ?
I think your way of understanding is quite reverse
It's harder to make 0 a 1
Humans grow up copying and learning from eachother
And you have all that information at your fingertips at all times
Took me 2 minutes to find that video
Teach a man how to fish kinda situation
Tried again
And still didnt work
The app didnt like...
Connect with the amp ?
Somehow
Oh you could not even use tone studio?
Weird ... You can still control the amp though
I have reversed and tried everything
Step by step
Again and again
And when i wanted to specifically have someone help me
People didnt
So i left it as it was
And used my pedal and amp settings alone
I even downloaded the false version's hoping it would work
And nah
Tele's look less appealing than sg and lespaul
And those esp shapes or whatever they are called
Around 1500$
Pretty hard to recommend anything specific, do you have any shops around?
SGs are the least appealing guitars ... Ever
My suggestion still stands because I think it's nice but there's a lot of choice
Fucking average shop is 45kms away
With a city traffic
Pretty personal opininon
So is mine
Dont get me wrong by the way
Tele's are beautiful aswell
No guitar is ugly
True ... LTD viper is a palatable SG like guitar
I saw that name a few time's
Oh yes some are ...but that's another discussion
I'll check it too maybe
But if you want to play metal too ... An eclipse would work
I mean as long as it doesnt make your fingers bleed with sharp fret work and tower ass string height
Eclipse ?
😭
Is that a ltd ?
256 ?
Or an ESP ...it's a LP shaped one
But this is more a post for #1019841011888959498 than for #1047143500896014367
Is this
Fishman fluence ... probably the modern
Do you know everything 😭 🙏
Checking eclipse
Rn
Gonna check this one
@zenith breach What do you think about epiphone's ? I have checked it myself aswell and i either saw people complain or be amazed about it and never could understand which dude is telling the truth ( I think those who complain are the people who just bought it from online and it came bad from the factory )
If the complaints are "the strings are buzzing" or "the action is too high" then you can ignore those
No there was one dude who said the fret work was done terrible
And it was sharp at the ends
Yeah that would be disappointing
When i went to a shop myself i grabbed a Epiphone 1959
And i did not notice any sharpness or any dryness or whatever
I have no skin in this game ... There's good Epiphone and shit epiphone ... In your budget there's a lot of good ones
But then again... You could have gotten a better guitar for the same money probably
YEAH
There is a lot of good guitars
Ibanez Axion Label S671ALB-BCM Blue Chameleon look at this
I think a regular supersrat style guitar will just work better in the sense of versatility
But also a lot of overpriced ones because of the brand ... A 700 dollar Cort will most likely have way better specs than a 1400 Epiphone

IS THAT A SINGLE GUITAR ?
That name is LOOONG
It's Ibanez ... They do that
Looks insane though
Axion label is their higher end studf
And I suggest looking at something with Fishmans since they have different voicings, which gives you way more tonal options
literally got the same guitar a few days ago and i like j rock, perfect
you mean the 611 ?
yea
I know 611 and 612 plays and sounds awesome 🗣️
That's why i bought it 🗣️
for some reason my ibanez as73g sounded really good when playing rock
even though its a semi hollow

its good asf
any guitar can play rock ... when you add enough gain on the amp
the pickups are heavenly
sounded better than using my friends custom one
might be personal preference
because you can do rock on anything
hollowbodys can be difficult but not at all impossible
semi hollows are fine
sounded so good though
Ibanez isnt bad
I think they are producing even better stuff rn
hss strat or hh with coilsplit, although theres no perfect middle as jrock occasionally uses jazzmasters, teles or jaguars.
