Hey, all.

I'm a bass player looking to get into guitar again. I used to play years ago, but came back to it.

I will be playing pretty much exclusively through my hx stomp into an interface or PA.

I really want an ergonomic guitar, as when I made the switch to headless bass I became a complete convert. Also, my back has started to hurt lately, so lightness is appreciated. It doesn't need to be headless.

I play a wide variety of genres (worship, j pop/rock, jazz fusion eventually.) I know i want a tremolo because the people I like use them and id want to emulate them at some point.

I have had my eyes on the Hils HN5. Any better options?

charvel DK24 always near the top of the list with these type of requests

#

HSS variant

#

since gospel / worship players generally prefer single coils and chimier tones, and similar deal with J pop. but you still got the humbucker in the bridge for rock

#

24 frets to get u some easier access down there

I reallly wanna try the Hils myself but no local store stocks them alas ... but from what I hear from lots of reviews is that what Hils offers for the money is insane good value

#

the NH6 also comes with Fishmans ... tusq nut, SS frets ... fcking insane specs for the price

#

another great option is an NK ... but they don't come with a trem system

i wish i could like the Hils but the shape really bugs me

#

especially their attempt at that strandberg esque lower cut, it just looks kinda cheap n odd to me since it looks like an afterthough since its so small and akward lookin

like I said .. haven't had the pleasure to try one

#

saw Rabea try one out and he said it plays better than a Ibanez Q ...

#

kinda wild

I think the ergonomics on the hils will be better than the charvel, but i like the looks of rhe charvel better definitely

its basically kinda ibanez standard quality but with the tax of being headless and having niche hardware

#

hils has a nice market in america

#

much more than most overseas headless

#

but i wish their designer was someone else

even Acepro seems to make pretty great headless models
