I wanted the Slash tone used on the Appetite for Destruction album. I have a Stratocaster HSS and the Tonelib GFX plugin. How can I get a tone similar to these elements?

He uses a Les Paul and marshall amps. You likely will find a british sounding amp on your library also use the bridge pickup. It's not too much gain.
A lot of the tone is the double tracking, when you listen to the tracks. Meaning, one guitar track is left and another right and then there is an additional lead guitar in the middle.
that's what makes it sound wide and fat.
