I have a option to buy a Fender Telecaster Player 2 new for around 800€ or a Fender Telecaster Vintera 60s Modified, used, for 779€. I want to play mostly Rock and Jazz, which one would be the better one? I can't decide

vinteras feel better than players to me in terms of build quality

but they're ultimately vintage spec'd, so 21 frets, no stomach cut

most of your sound is the amp

#

and look at it this way

a lot of rock was written on basic vintage telecasters from the 60s and 70s

so what would make the player 2 better than the vintera if the vintera is based on guitars that rock was born out of

you can make a tin can with a string sound rock through a good amp
