#Looking for budget amp within 150$

both is over the budget
lt25 is around 225$ here
I can get it eventually but for now I will prioritize a cheaper one first since im a newbie
it's very rare to find a good used amp like katana here
Even if it is a lt25 that is still way better than what u have stated
i can pick between lt25 or champion 20w
But they are similar enough
Unless u want to play metal then the katana is a decent bit better
The Lt 25 is better than the champion
The lt25 is the same concept as the katana
i want to try everything
The mustang will do metal to a usable practice level the katana just does it better
I think if I get katana then I do not need to upgrade anything
Exactly
my plan was get an used mg15 then upg to either katana or thr10
Just get the better amp now then u have everything u want for later
Don’t get a mg 15
If u are going to get a mg get a 30 50 or 100
i spent a little more on the guitar my parents wouldn't allow me to pay more for amp😔
those are over 250$
U could try to explain to them that that spending abit more upfront for the katana would get u an amp that would last you a lot longer
Or just stalk ur used market and grab one when it pops up
but then i will need a sub one for now
U don’t
Actually look at the
Boss katana go
NuX mighty plug
They are headphone amps but have the same functionality as the katana 50 but for cheaper
U just need headphones to hear them
Or a Bluetooth speaker with an aux
Yea
will this do?
Yea
That’s the one I was telling u about
It has the same functionality as the katana it just is worse at high gain
cool it's 150$ cheaper than katana
Unless u plan on playing a lot of modern metal that will work perfectly fine
What do you want to play ?
For your budget I'd look for a used katana (as is probably mentioned) or a Mooer Hornet 30
I would like to try anything
Mostly trendy music
Yeah everyone is telling me to get a katana but it’s hard to find a used one here
Get a Katana Go to start with. It's a headphone amp and has the same effects as the Katana amps. Just need a pair of headphones to plug in, and you're good to go.
Nope I’m not planning to use headphone all the day to practice guitar
Connect it to a BT speaker or something with an aux connection or something like PC speakers and you're good to go
☝️
or just get the Mooer ... it's within budget .. sounds good enough, has lots of tones
yo I found out that lt25 is selling for 200$ here and I don't think it's worth the price
what do you think of Mooer Hornet 30 ? It's 60$ cheaper than lt25
it'll do ... the Hornets are said to be good ... have a good tone cloud-ish thing afaik
phone app etc
i can't find many reviews about it
I think I will get orange 12w for now lol then upg to katana 50 until I'm good with it
I'm able to get the orange 12W for $83, I think it's a great deal.
just need it for bedroom practice
if you have a good set of headphones and/or good set of somputer speakers ... I highly recommend getting a Nux Mightyplug Pro
it also doubles as an interface ... tones are nice ... super easy to use ... can be played with headphones or some external speaker
I have the MP2 and it's crazy featurepacked for little money
Just out of curiosity... why do you prefer a cheap amp, which will have far fewer features and effects (and arguably worse sound), when you could have the same thing - only with headphones or plugging in to a set of studio monitors or any speaker for that matter - with the Mighty Plug Pro, which actually is a much better value over any cheap amp IMO.
Just wondering.
Im completely new and I don't have idea what is it so might as well just get a traditional amp first
Do you know how to use google?
If yes, I would suggest look it up and do some reasearch. Especially for beginners it's a much better and much more convenient deal.
But to each their own. 😉
Just in case:
Google search terms....
- Nux Mighty Plug Pro.
i think that is a solid argument but I do think you are shooting yourself in the foot cause most 10w shitbox amps sound ok clean but crap out completely with any form of gain on them
☝️
if you want to play anything that remotely sounds like non-pussy music ...
@grand torrent If you really must get a small amp for bedroom use (which is really counter-productive, but...), then the Boss Katana Mini, or better yet, the Katana MIni X are not bad for the money.
Still a worse deal than the Mighty Plug Pro, but for that size, they're not that bad.
The Mini will set you back around 130 Euro, and the MIni X will stretch your budget a bit, but better... at 185 Euro.
