#Looking for metal guitar

Hello all, I want to get myself a new guitar for metal, preferably a Tune-O-Matic bridge and active pickups (if possible, but probably not) for preferably under €400. I got my eyes on the Harley Benton EX-84 but I’m wondering if there’s a superstrat type of guitar which fits my needs. I’ve been looking locally for second hand guitars but there’s no good ones right now.

And yes, I know active pickups at this price range are basically nonexistent but why not list it.

The ex 84 is a good option especially if u get the one with emgs

Hmmm, that's tough at that price point. I'd say look into Ibanez, but there are few with active pickups at that price... So you'd have to buy them separately if you really need actives.
If you're lucky, you can get a Schecter Diamond Blackjack ATX at slightly more, which is a great guitar.
But you said the used market is pretty slim atm.
Have you looked on Reverb already?
That being said... the Harley Benton EX-84 does seem like a good choice for what you're looking for.

There are also afew Schecter with the TOM bridge but not the tail piece

#

If u would prefer Active EMG and not a TOM bridge there is the Harley Benton Amarok line they are still hard tails just not TOM

#

It comes in other colors

I’ve checked that one before, love it but wasn’t it €600? Or is that a different version

I got a Harley Benton ST62CC but it’s not set up correctly at all and I’m waiting on my tools to finally arrive, but from what I’ve heard the higher budget Harley Benton guitars are amazing. Also, thanks for the help

I recently got a Harley Benton SC-450 and it came in right out of the box it surprised me with how good it actually was for the price

#

And the EX series is higher end than that

#

All I had to do with the SC was stretch the strings and take steel wool to the frets which took like 10 min then it was good to go

#

Tbh I didn’t need to take the steel wool to the frets I coulda done that by just playing but I didn’t feel like it

#

Interesting, my ST62CC is ALMOST unplayable

The SC does have a TOM bridge that could be it

#

Also in that price range if u mean the trem yea that is going to make it go out of tune
