#Helix or analog

depends on your situation, usecase etc
For the best sound
for what ? gigging ? recording ? just playing ?
helix is pretty amazing and gives you super versatility
helix is not the only one though ... there's lots of modellers that are super capable nowadays
In my opinion the minor difference between digital and analog is totally overshadowed by the ease of use and flexibility of digital
👍
If you don’t got much to spare the helix stomp is a great option goes well with other pedals
Ultimately a real tube amp will always sound better imo but it depends on your situation
I’d go for a Fractal above all else but that’s just me
Again depends on your situation
Kinda overkill in this day and age ...and it has option overload
Its great ... But I don't think it's for the mere hobby player
I just think tone-wise they sound better
I’m not a huge fan of modellers all round for the reasons you mentioned though
Get yourself a good cab…solid amp that suits a good base tone for you and some pedals for your more specialty sounds and your set
Yes ...but then you're 4 to 5K in ...at least, if I'd get my Uber setup
While a modeller can do the same sound for 700 to 1500 and way more
well thats 4 to 5k if you make it 4 to 5k
In a mix you really can't hear the difference anyways and if you gig, your audience won't give a shit what you play through
But meh slo100 and Mesa 4x12 oversized with v30s and greenbacks
you dont need that tho
this is completely true
But then I also want that RevvG100
i mean i wouldn't say it's indistinguishable in a mix
but yeh
and yeh the audience won't care apart from the few gear geeks in the crowd
but playing through a tube amp is beyond fucking cool compared to a helix or a kemper
Moving air is nice ... But I really like the accessibility a d ease of plugins/modellers
oh for sure
practically there's no reason to use tube amps
but they are cool af
I can make a produce a whole album in my little office .. it's great
