Hyper X solo cast is half decent
I mean it is a gaming mic from Walmart but it is 40$ and doesn’t sound to bad
Forget about using a USB microphone
I'd go for a small, bus powered interface and an XLR microphe. Some LDC like the Rhode NT1A or ATH2020
The latter comes in USB form too but in general USB mics simply don't work that well in audio production
Just because it’s usb doesn’t mean it’s bad I’ve used alot of very good usb microphones that have served well and like I said I just want something easy I don’t have to carry loads of spare bits around with me
Thanks I’ll have a look into it I was thinking of maybe going for something from hyper X I did have the quad cast but it’s buggered
