I'm starting to get into Hardcore, currently linking up with someone who wants to make music but says my guitars (jazzmaster and jaguar) aren't a good fit for HC. What should I be looking at? My primary concern is being comfortable and good for heavy music?

Tbh u can play anything on any guitar keeping in mind this doesn’t exactly work with the acoustic and electric split but u can if u want to but ideally something with humbuckers weather it be a LP a V an Explorer or similar shape probably like a LP or an Eclipse are the more common choice

If ur looking for cheaper options Harley Benton has a decent lineup of guitars in all sorts of shapes and designs

There was a Reddit thread about a guy playing hardcore on a semi hollow for like 15 yrs and he said that worked fine

schecter has blown most every brand out of the water in terms of bang per buck

#

they even do les pauls better than gibson does

#

and theyve got a guitar for every price range you can think of

fair enough

#

they do very good single cuts

#

i suppose "better than gibson" is an incredibly low bar

they also make a killer double cut
